20080196717Powder Inhaler - The invention consists of a powder inhalator for administrating medications. The inhalator, according to the invention, has a chamber with a mechanism for opening the medication capsule and an aerodynamic chamber in which the medication particles are separated from the currier capsules. In the aerodynamic chamber. On the opposite side to the mouthpiece opening, there are air inlet ducts which form a multidirectional system of air ducts. The air ducts are shaped in a way which makes the air that flows through them create at least three streams. Due to the intersecting of the air streams the air flow is strongly turbulent even if low speeds are involved. Consequently the separation of the active substance particles form the carrier surface is very effective.08-21-2008

20080289014Scan-to-home method and system for the delivery of electronic documents to a user home directory - A method and system for efficiently and securely permitting a user to scan electronic documents from a remote multi-function device to a user's home directory. A user can be authenticated via the multi-function device and electronic credentials associated with the user generated, which are utilized to determine the user's home directory. The multi-function device can then produce a customized template that can be selected by the user when accessing rendering/scanning services. The user can then scan a document and electronically store such a document at the home directory via an SMB (Server Message Block) protocol. Home directories can either be determined via an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) or configured on a network interface via a default directory path and the user name.11-20-2008

20100132921Wake generating solid elements for joule heating or infrared heating - An improved solid heat transfer element composed of an elongate member having a generally cylindrical surface with male vortex generating protrusions is provided. The vortex generating protrusions, which may be referred to as “turbulators,” provide improved heat transfer by convection to a flow of air transverse to the elongate members without substantially increasing the pressure drop in the flow of air passing over the members. Advantageously, a plurality of the heat transfer elements, or of straight portions of a single serpentine heat transfer element, may be arranged in an aligned or staggered array of elements or straight portions. Many advantageous profile shapes of the element and vortex generators are provided, including aerodynamic profile shapes that are symmetrical with respect to a fluid flow to provide low drag and pressure drop. Heat in the element may be generated by means of electrical resistance or absorption of radiation.06-03-2010

20110265067Automatic Parallelization in a Tracing Just-in-Time Compiler System - A tracing just-in-time (TJIT) compiler system is described for performing parallelization of code in a runtime phase in the execution of code. Upon detecting a hot loop during the execution of the code, the compiler system extracts trace information from sequentially recorded traces. In a first phase, the compiler system uses the trace information to identify at least one group of operation components that can be operated on in a parallel manner. In a second phase, the compiler system provides instructions which allocate the group of operation components to plural processing resources. A native code generator module carries out those instructions by recompiling native code that directs the operation of a native system to perform parallel processing. The compiler system terminates a group if it encounters program data in a loop iteration that is not consistent with previously encountered predicated information (upon which it records a new trace in a sequential manner).10-27-2011

20110083124Software Verification Using Two-State Invariants - Software verification using two-state invariants is described. In an embodiment a verifier represents an annotated program to be verified as a plurality of atomic transitions between global program states, each state comprising a plurality of objects. For example, the verifier accesses the annotations which specify a two-state invariant for each object. A two-state invariant is a predicate that relates a global program state before a state transition to the state after that state transition. In an example some of the two-state invariants are cross-object in that they refer to other objects. For example, a verification system checks that only the two-state invariants of the objects which changed in each transition are preserved; this modularity enables the verifier to work for large code bases and concurrent software. In an example the modularity is possible since the two-state invariants meet an admissibility requirement which is independent of the functionality of the program.04-07-2011
