20090092068COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD - In an ad hoc mode based on IEEE802.11 standard, when a wireless terminal performs a power save operation to create a network, and a network identifier identical to that of the network to be created is present, the wireless terminal does not join the network. When the wireless terminal is to join the network, and the network identifier identical to that of the network which the wireless terminal is to join is not present, the wireless terminal does not join any network. In this method, reliable connectivity can be obtained in the ad hoc mode which is not defined in the IEEE802.11 standard in detail.04-09-2009
20090196200COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND NETWORK ESTABLISHING METHOD - A communication apparatus determines whether another communication apparatus participating in a network established in accordance with a first communication standard is also compatible with a second communication standard. The communication apparatus detects leaving of the network by another communication apparatus incompatible with the second communication standard. The communication apparatus establishes a network that adheres to the second communication standard, depending on the detection result.08-06-2009
20100061325ALLOCATION OF A SECONDARY BAND TO EXPAND THE CAPACITY OF A PRIMARY BAND IN A WLAN 802.11 SYSTEM - If frequency band (channel) expansion is made without careful consideration, communications of other apparatuses are disturbed. An apparatus which belongs to an identical network before expansion of the frequency band may no longer be able to make a communication after expansion of the frequency band. To accomplish this, upon making communications using a plurality of channels, a communication apparatus of a network probes the presence of other networks, requests other communication apparatuses of the network to make communication using the plurality of channels based on the probe result, and makes communication using the plurality of channels based on responses to the request. Upon making communications using neighboring channels, the communication apparatus probes the presence of networks in neighboring channels and channels that neighbor the neighboring channels, and makes communications using a used channel and the neighboring channel.03-11-2010
20100182956COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR SETTING COMMUNICATION PARAMETERS OF THE COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A device capability attribute regarding a setting on communication parameters, and provision attribute information indicative of whether or not a communication terminal is in a state that it can provide communication parameters to another communication terminal are stored in advance. The communication terminal, where the device capability attribute has at least a provision capability of the communication parameters, is selected as a provision device. In a case where there are plural communication terminals where the device capability attribute has a communication parameter provision capability, a communication terminal where the device capability attribute has the communication parameter provision capability only is preferentially selected. In a case where the device capability attributes of respective communication terminals are equal, a communication terminal storing the provision attribute information indicative of the state that it can provide the communication parameters is selected as a provision device.07-22-2010
20100195589WIRELESS PARAMETER SETTING METHOD, BASE STATION, MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM - A method of making a management apparatus that manages a wireless parameter of a wireless network formed by a base station set the wireless parameter in a wireless communication apparatus, comprising the steps of causing the base station to request the management apparatus to start a wireless parameter setting process when a start of wireless parameter setting is designated in the base station, causing the management apparatus to notify the base station of wireless parameter setting information containing wireless parameter setting start enable/disable information when the management apparatus receives the request from the base station, causing the base station to notify the wireless communication apparatus of the wireless parameter setting information received from the management apparatus, and causing the wireless communication apparatus to execute or stop the wireless parameter setting process for a wireless setting apparatus based on the wireless parameter setting information received from the base station.08-05-2010

20090005054STATUS NOTIFICATION METHOD IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A call connection request from an access terminal is suppressed in a state in which the base station judges that the call connection is impossible, thereby suppressing a waste of the wireless band and the generation of noise. A BCMCS management block of an access point receives information indicating whether there is an allocable channel, from a channel management block of the access point, and information indicating whether the start of QoS can be accepted, from a QoS acceptance determination block of the access point, and the BCMCS management block distributes the information to the access terminal. Accordingly, the access point can inform the access terminal that it is not serviceable before channel allocation is attempted.01-01-2009
