20110195221REINFORCEMENT PATCHES WITH UNIDIRECTIONALLY-ALIGNED FIBERS - Reinforcement patches comprising a mastic and a plurality of unidirectionally-aligned fibers at least partially embedded in a first major surface of the mastic are described. Generally, at least 90% of the unidirectionally-aligned fibers are oriented having an axis of alignment within +/−10 degrees of the average axis of alignment of the unidirectionally-aligned fibers. Reinforcement patches that include an encapsulating resin and a cover layer are also described. Methods of reinforcing a panel using reinforcement panels, and panels reinforced with the patches are also disclosed.08-11-2011

20120132839NEEDLE VALVE - Disclosed herein is an improved needle valve, where, in some preferred embodiments, the needle valve includes a stem having a ball linkage and a seat having a ball linkage housing. The ball linkage can be snap-fit to the seat, and the ball linkage and ball linkage housing cooperate to form a ball-and-socket joint. In some embodiments, an axis is formed at least in part by the stem, and the ball-and-socket joint allows rotation of the seat about the axis and inhibits rotation of the seat about another axis. A gap may be provided between the seat and the stem to accommodate deformation of the seat. Also disclosed herein is an improved needle valve, where, in some preferred embodiments, a stem and a handle are provided with mating geometry and a biased snap-fit mechanism to facilitate ease of assembly.05-31-2012

20110289854LAYERED PARTICLE ELECTROSTATIC DEPOSITION PROCESS FOR MAKING A COATED ABRASIVE ARTICLE - Disclosed is a method of applying particles to a coated backing. A first layer of particles is created over a second layer of particles on a support surface and the first layer of particles is different in at least one property from the second layer of particles. A coated backing is positioned above the first and second layer of particles. An electrostatic field is applied simultaneously to the first and second layer of particles such that the first layer of particles closer to the coated backing are preferentially attracted to the coated backing first before the second layer of particles.12-01-2011

20090232360PRE-PRINT DISTORTION - A thermoformed article carries an image. Using a first sheet carrying a grid image and a mold having at least two cavities, a forming carrying a grid distortion pattern for each cavity is made. An initial image is computed for each cavity based on the corresponding grid distortion pattern and a desired image. The initial images are applied to a second sheet. Using the second sheet and the mold, at least two articles are made, each article carrying a distorted image that is substantially similar to the desired image.09-17-2009
