20090044571Knitted Glove with Controlled Stitch Stretch Capability and enhanced cuff - A knitted glove made by creating each of the at least fifteen sections using a separate knitting course on a flat knitting machine providing varying stitch dimensions with one or two yarns in one or more sections. Custom stretch characteristics can be provided using one or two yarns providing a tight glove that provides flexibility and ease of movement. The varying stitch dimension is achieved by 1) varying the depth of penetration of the knitting needle into fabric being knitted by a computer program, 2) adjusting the tension of yarn between a pinch roll and knitting head by a mechanism controlled by a computer and/or 3) casting off or picking up additional stitches in a course. The glove includes four finger components, a thumb component, two palm components, and a wrist component. A padded cuff section can be added to the wrist component for comfort.02-19-2009

20100287978THERMAL POWERED HYDRONIC CHILLER USING LOW GRADE HEAT - This invention employs an arrangement of flat plate heat exchangers and a pump that function as a thermal powered hydronic ammonia absorption chiller. Chilling is achieved by bubbling ammonia gas through a liquid refrigerant causing a reduction of the partial pressure of the refrigerant and evaporation with the absorption of heat. The refrigerant and working fluids can be selected to have a broad range of operating pressures. If the refrigerant and working fluid are selected so that the atmospheric boiling point is the about the same as the highest operating ambient temperature, the chiller can operate with low, or even no internal pressure. The low operating pressures allow the use of light weight materials, easy fabrication, low cost and safety. This chiller is especially suited for using solar heated water, cooling water from internal combustion engines or any source of hot water. The chiller is easily scalable to any size and will find wide application for comfort air conditioning or food storage.11-18-2010

20120104295ACTUATOR CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD - A device for controlling an actuator includes an input interface that receives a plurality of input signals including a setpoint command signal and a feedback signal. An output interface provides a drive signal to the actuator. First, second, and third redundant loop controllers processes the setpoint command signal and the feedback signal to generate respective actuator control signals. A primary controller compares the actuator control signals to determine whether at least two are substantially similar. The device outputs the drive signal to the actuator according to an actuator control signals that has been determined by the primary controller to be substantially similar to another. Any one of the redundant loop controllers is hot swappable with a replacement loop controller such that loop controller redundancy is operatively maintained by the device in controlling the actuator while one of the redundant loop controllers is hot swapped.05-03-2012
