Cold air generated by a first evaporator is provided to the first cold air duct to cool the first cooling chamber, cold air generated by a second evaporator, which receives refrigerant from the first evaporator, is provided to the second cold air duct to provide concentrated cooling to the second cooling chamber, and cold air generated by a third evaporator is provided to the third cold air duct to cool the third cooling chamber.05-27-2010
20100126205REFRIGERATOR AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME - A refrigerator is provided. The refrigerator may include a cold air generation chamber provided in a body of the refrigerator, the cold air generation chamber having an evaporator installed therein. A cold air duct may form a path through which cold air generated in the cold air generation chamber is circulated to a freezer compartment, and a quick freezer compartment. The quick freezer compartment may be connected with the cold air duct, and may be positioned substantially nearer to the evaporator than the freezer compartment. A damper may be installed in the cold air duct to selectively shut off the flow of cold air to the freezer compartment. The quick freezer compartment may be quickly cooled using cold air directly supplied from the cold air generation chamber. Furthermore, cold air may be directed into the quick freezer compartment by selectively shutting off the supply of cold air into the freezer or refrigerator compartment.05-27-2010
20100139304REFRIGERATOR - A refrigerator, in which a main body includes a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber. A cold air generation chamber for the freezing chamber is provided on an uppermost part of the main body, communicates with the freezing chamber, and houses a freezing chamber evaporator. A cold air generation chamber for the refrigerating chamber is provided separate from the cold air generation chamber for the freezing chamber and houses a refrigerating chamber evaporator.06-10-2010
20100139309REFRIGERATOR - A refrigerator, in which a main body includes a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber. A cold air generation chamber for the freezing chamber, a cold air generation chamber for the refrigerating chamber, and a machine room are provided on an uppermost part of the main body to allow for increased space in the refrigerating and freezing chambers.06-10-2010
20100154461REFRIGERATOR - A refrigerator is disclosed. A freezing chamber evaporator and a chilling chamber evaporator are installed at an inner side of a partition wall that partitions a freezing chamber and a chilling chamber from each other. Accordingly, the freezing chamber and the chilling chamber have deep depths thus to have large available capacities, thereby freshly receiving a large amount of food items. Furthermore, a cool air channel is formed at the freezing chamber door and the chilling chamber door so as to be connected to a cool air channel of the partition wall. Accordingly, a temperature difference between an inner space and a door basket does not occur, thereby storing food or beverage items received in the door basket with a fresh state.06-24-2010
20100162744REFRIGERATOR - A refrigerator is disclosed. A freezing chamber evaporator and a cooling chamber evaporator are installed at an inner side of a ceiling surface of a freezing chamber and a cooling chamber. Accordingly, the freezing chamber and the cooling chamber have deeper depths thus to have large available capacities, thereby freshly receiving a large amount of food items. Furthermore, a cool air channel is formed at the freezing chamber door and the cooling chamber door so as to be connected to a cool air channel of the ceiling surface. Accordingly, a temperature difference between an inner space and a door basket does not occur, thereby storing food or beverage items received in the door basket in a fresh condition.07-01-2010
20100180619REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - A refrigerator, in which a guide member is arranged at an inlet of a cold air generating compartment that houses an evaporator. The guide member uniformly distributes cold air introduced into the cold air generating compartment to upper and lower portions of the evaporator.07-22-2010
20100180620REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - A refrigerator includes an air guide provided with a defrost water hole and inclined with respect to a centrifugal direction of a cold air fan. The air guide guides cold air discharged from the cold air fan to a guide duct and also guides, to the defrost water hole, defrost water falling in the centrifugal direction of the cold air fan.07-22-2010
20100180621REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - In a refrigerator, cold air discharged from a cold air fan is guided by a guide member such that it flows directly to an evaporator. The guide member reduces flow of air through a gap between an inner surface of a cold air generating compartment and the evaporator. The guide member also includes a drainage portion configured to guide defrost water generated at the cold air fan to a position beneath the evaporator.07-22-2010
20100180625REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - A refrigerator, in which an evaporator and a cold air fan are horizontally arranged in a cold air generating compartment positioned at an upper portion of the refrigerator. The evaporator and the cold air fan extend along a depth of the refrigerator in forward and rearward directions of the refrigerator.07-22-2010
20100192608REFRIGERATOR - Disclosed is a refrigerator that includes a main body having a cooling chamber. The refrigerator also includes a door coupled to the main body and configured to open and close the cooling chamber. The refrigerator further includes a home bar positioned at a front surface of the door and configured to provide access to contents of the refrigerator without opening the door. In addition, the refrigerator includes a heater positioned at the home bar and configured to adjust an amount of heat based on an ambient temperature.08-05-2010
20100192609REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - A refrigerator includes a cabinet having a plurality of storage compartments and a cold air generating compartment provided in an upper portion of the cabinet. The cold air generating compartment is in communication with the plurality of the storage compartments and houses a plurality of evaporators, with each evaporator corresponding to a particular storage compartment in the cabinet.08-05-2010
20100192617REFRIGERATOR RELATED TECHNOLOGY - A refrigerator includes a cabinet comprising a storage compartment An evaporator is positioned at an upper portion of the cabinet and generates cold air supplied to the storage compartment. A unit (e.g., closable damper) controls supply of cold air generated by the evaporator to the storage compartment.08-05-2010
20100192622REFRIGERATING SYSTEM - A refrigerating system is disclosed. Since heat exchange is performed between first and second evaporators by a heat exchanging unit, the first and second evaporators have temperatures similar to each other, thereby requiring no additional ‘pump-down’ operation. Also, a compressor does not have a discharge occurrence owing to no additional ‘pump-down’ operation, thereby having no loss and an enhanced reliability. Besides, since no additional pump-down operation is required, power consumption for operating the compressor so as to collect a remaining refrigerant is reduced. Accordingly, the efficiency of the refrigerating system is enhanced. Furthermore, as the ‘pump-down’ operation is not required, a backflow preventing unit for preventing a refrigerant collected from an evaporator from backflowing to the evaporator is not required. Accordingly, the fabrication cost is reduced.08-05-2010
