20090137012Process for producing lactonase and utilitzation thereof - It has been required to economically produce a large amount of optically active γ-lactone derivatives (for example, pantolactone), which are useful as intermediates in synthesizing useful substances such as pharmaceutical drugs. To achieve this object, it is advantageous to employ an enzymatic technique of asymmetric hydrolysis with a hydrolyzing enzyme lactonase. However, it remains troublesome to prepare the enzyme or utilize a microorganism capable of producing the enzyme. Also, it is difficult to obtain a sufficient and stable enzymatic activity in the case of using recombination techniques. In producing lactonase, which asymmetrically hydrolyzes a γ-lactone derivative such as racemic pantolactone selectively, by a recombination technique, both mature lactonase DNA and signal peptide region DNA are transferred into a host. Thus, a stable lactonase activity comparable to naturally-occurring one can be achieved and a transformant sustaining a high enzyme activity in a stable manner can be acquired, thereby allowing the efficient and industrially advantageous asymmetric synthesis of γ-lactone derivatives.05-28-2009

20080236369PERFORMANCE APPARATUS AND STORAGE MEDIUM THEREFOR - A performance apparatus capable of reproducing performance data having a desired tempo, even if performance data having the desired tempo is not present in a play list. In a search, a main point value indicated in each of meta data in music information files respectively corresponding to pieces of music registered in the play list is compared with a target tempo value. If the main point value falls within a range in which main point does not vary more than plus or minus 3% from the target tempo value, the music whose main point value is currently compared with the target tempo value is determined as intended music. If the intended music is not present in the play list, music data having the target tempo is automatically produced and reproduced.10-02-2008

The reproduction of the subsequent music piece is started at the same time when the music is reproduced up to the acquired beat position.10-02-2008
20080257133APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CREATING MUSIC PIECE DATA - A plurality of template data files are provided, each designating a structure and conditions of a music piece, and having a plurality of tracks, each track being assigned to a particular instrument group and defining a time progression structure of music to be performed by the assigned instrument group by setting performance sections at time positions to be performed by the assigned instrument group along the time progression of music. A plurality of component data files are provided, each representing a length of musical phrase that constitutes a predetermined tone progression pattern of a predetermined tone color for a performance by a particular instrument group. When conditions such as a tempo for a music piece to be created are given, a template data file that satisfies the given conditions is selected. Then, component data files are picked up according to the conditions designated by the selected template data file and the musical phrases are placed on the tracks in the template data file. Thus, data files of many and versatile music pieces are automatically created, satisfying the given conditions.10-23-2008
