20160047183 | VARIABLE GUIDE AND PROTECTION BUSHING FOR WELL CONVEYANCE - A guide and protection bushing assembly is mountable in a well production system (e.g., a subsea tree) having an intervention member (e.g., a blowout preventer). The assembly guides a string of components to a cable hanger sealing surface disposed in the production system without damaging the sealing surface. The assembly includes a body having a first end engaging an intervention member, a second end engaging the production system, an outer surface, and an inner through passage that expands radially at the first end to form a funnel shape. In some embodiments, the assembly may further include rollers, leaf springs, or a protective sleeve coupled to biasing members, a plurality of centering disks having a plurality of flexible flaps separated by spacers, and/or centering devices with fins separated by spacers. In some embodiments, the assembly may further include a hydraulically actuated plurality of rams, a piston with a plurality of protective elements, a plurality of nozzle jets, and/or a plurality of bladders. | 02-18-2016 |

20120162337 | METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR INK JET PRINTING ON A NONABSORBENT SUBSTRATE - Ink jet printing on a non-absorbent substrate involves a wet primer having a primer viscosity. The wet primer is applied on the non-absorbent substrate. An ink jet ink having an ink jet viscosity lower than the primer viscosity is jetted over the wet primer while the primer is still wet. The wet primer and ink are simultaneously cured on the substrate. | 06-28-2012 |

20130063462 | TILE-BASED IMAGE PROCESSING USING MIPMAPS - Mipmaps are used to optimize image rendering by intelligently determining which generated mipmaps can be reused and then storing the reusable mipmaps in cache for quick retrieval later. A graphic transformation application (GTA) working with or executed by a graphics processing unit (GPU) identifies images to be rendered on a screen and effects to be applied such images. Transforms to carry out the effects are charged with generating mipmaps of the images, and the GTA monitors the generated mipmaps and images to be rendered to determine what mipmaps to cache for future transforms. | 03-14-2013 |

20130063453 | REORDERING GRAPH EXECUTION FOR PROCESSING OPTIMIZATION - Methods are provided for reordering operations in execution of an effect graph by graphics processing unit. Memory availability is evaluated for storing images rendered using the effect graph. Memory is allocated for multiple parallel intermediate textures that store images. Operations that write to these textures are executed. It is then determined that there is not sufficient memory to perform additional parallel operations. The memory currently allocated is flushed, and memory for an upper-level texture is allocated. The operations that write pixels to the upper-level texture are executed. | 03-14-2013 |

20140202013 | Laser Generated Measuring Device - The present invention relates to a laser-based measuring device which can be used to measure geometrical sizes and lines of a plane from a distance away. The device comprises a hand-held or mountable housing unit containing a laser projector, two pivotally fixed mirrors moveable by a first and second motor respectively, and at least one range finder, wherein the laser generates a visible line whose width is determined by the on time of the laser the angle of reflection of the first mirror and the rotational speed of the second mirror. The range finder(s) project the laser beam through a marked lens which then illuminate a ruled line or grid upon the planar surface to be measured. | 07-24-2014 |
20150282250 | Vehicle Roof Defroster - An outdoor study was conducted to assess the effects of a vehicle roof defroster line widths and separation of the connections located on the roof of a motor vehicle. Because additional independent variables were needed, including size, and location of the target areas, independent variables were length of time the defroster was on to properly melt snow or ice. Also, ratings of how easily these vehicle roof defrosters could be applied to various vehicle roof tops. There were two main findings. First, neither the width nor separation of the opaque lines, affected the roofs melting of snow or ice within the target areas. Second, the subjective ratings of the ease in which the vehicle roof defroster can be installed. These results suggest that drivers will agree to the increased safety, and decreased risk of not melting hazardous ice and snow from the roof of a vehicle. | 10-01-2015 |
