20100000479DEVICE FOR VARIABLY ADJUSTING CONTROL TIMES OF GAS EXCHANGE VALVES OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE01-07-2010
20100037841APPARATUS FOR THE VARIABLE SETTING OF THE CONTROL TIMES OF GAS EXCHANGE VALVES OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - An apparatus for variable setting of control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine which has an outer and inner rotor rotatable relative to the former, with one component drive-connected to a crankshaft and the other drive-connected to a camshaft. The apparatus has at least one pressure space, which are each divided into two pressure chambers acting counter to one another. The apparatus has a plurality of pressure medium channels, via which pressure medium is fed to or led away from the pressure chambers. Additionally, the apparatus has a plurality of rotational-angle limitation devices assuming an unlocked and locked state. The locking states are set by the supply of pressure medium to or discharge of pressure medium from the respective rotational-angle limitation apparatus. Furthermore, a method for controlling an apparatus for variable setting of control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine is disclosed.02-18-2010
20100083924DEVICE FOR CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A device for camshaft adjustment in an internal combustion engine which has an inner rotor rotationally fixed to a camshaft. The inner rotor is rotationally adjustable relative to an outer rotor that is driveably connected to a crankshaft. At least one hydraulic chamber limited by side walls is introduced into the outer rotor and is divided into two partial chambers by an element extending radially outward from the inner rotor. To lock the relative movement between the inner and outer rotor, two locking pins penetrating the inner rotor axially engage in two recesses of one of the side walls designed as a locking cover. To adjust the play of the locking pins in the recesses, at least one of the recesses has a stop surface for the locking pin, the position of which changes as viewed circumferentially with the radial distance from the axis of the inner rotor.04-08-2010
20100241338MOTOR CONTROL STRATEGY FOR A HYDRAULIC CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER HAVING A MECHANICAL CENTRAL LOCK - A motor control strategy for a hydraulic camshaft adjuster. The motor control strategy has a mechanical central lock which in turn has at least one rotor and one stator, between which hydraulically loadable chamber A and chambers B are provided. Locking pistons supported in an axially displaceable manner are provided in the rotor for the mechanical central lock. A hydraulic system and an electrically controllable solenoid valve are provided The valve is powered in a controlled manner by a motor control device, which receives an “ignition off” signal; the motor being turned off, and at least one signal for current angular position of the camshaft adjuster, which compares the angular position to at least one zone definition stored in the motor control device, forms control commands from the same, and transmits the control commands to the electric solenoid valve.09-23-2010
20100326385DEVICE FOR VARIABLY ADJUSTING THE TIMING CONTROL OF GAS EXCHANGE VALVES OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A device for variably adjusting the timing control of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine. The device has a hydraulic phase adjustment device, a control valve and an auxiliary pressure source. The phase adjustment device can be brought into driving connection with a crankshaft and a camshaft, the phase adjustment device has at least two counter-working pressure chambers, and a phase relation of the camshaft relative to the crankshaft is variably adjustable by charging of the pressure chambers with pressure medium. The control valve has at least one inflow port and a first and a second working port. The inflow port is connectable to a pressure medium pump, and the first working port is connectable to the first pressure chamber and the second working port to the second pressure chamber.12-30-2010
20110139100CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A camshaft adjustment device which has a pinion and a drive part that is disposed in a pivoting manner relative thereto. The pinion and the drive part are operatively connected to each other via a pressure chamber that can be pressurized using pressure means. At least one locking device can mechanically couple the pinion and the drive part. The locking device is actuated by a pressure medium. The pressure chamber and the locking device are in a pressure medium connection to one another for regulating the pressure medium supply to the locking device and the pressure medium discharge therefrom by at least one regulating unit. The passage of the pressure medium can be blocked in a pressure-tight manner in the direction of the pressure chamber by at least one locking device disposed in the pressure medium connection.06-16-2011
20110162603DEVICE FOR VARIABLY ADJUSTING THE CONTROL TIMES OF GAS EXCHANGE VALVES OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A device for variably adjusting the control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine. The device has a driving element, an output element, at least one pressure chamber, at least one mechanism limiting the angle of rotation, and a pressure accumulator. A phase angle between the output and driving element is changed by delivering or discharging pressure medium to or from the pressure chambers. The mechanism limiting the angle of rotation has a receiving member and an engaging element to which a force is applied towards the receiving member (07-07-2011
