A given such system comprises a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral support bands. The distance of the safety band from the rafter corresponds to about 40 percent to about 75 percent of the diameter of the bag. Thus for a 30-inch diameter bag, the distance between the edge of the rafter and the middle of the safety band is about 12 inches to about 23 inches. The safety band protects the suspension fabric from being cut by the near edge of the rafter when a falling object impacts the fall protection system near the edge of the rafter. | 09-17-2015 |
20150259934 | SAFETY BAND LONGITUDINAL AND TRANSVERSE CONTROL - This invention provides fail protection systems comprising a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral bands, in metal building construction. The fall protection system uses the combination of relatively softer banding, a safety band spaced a particular distance from each rafter, and safety clips to attach the safety bands to the intermediate purlins, thus to distribute the force of impact of a load, falling close to a rafter, to better absorb and dissipate the force of the impact, including distributing the impact of the failing load over a greater area of the roof structure. The invention further provides methods of making elements of such systems, methods of installing elements of such systems, and buildings embodying such systems. | 09-17-2015 |
20150259935 | SAFETY BAND LONGITUDINAL AND TRANSVERSE CONTROL - This invention provides fall protection systems comprising a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral bands, in metal building construction. The fall protection system uses safety clips to attach lateral bands to intermediate purlins, and also provides novel attachments of the lateral bands to eaves and ridges whereby the respective eave and/or the ridge absorbs an enhanced portion of the force of impact when an object falls onto the fall protection system. The invention further provides methods of installing such systems, and buildings embodying such systems. | 09-17-2015 |
20150259936 | BAND HARDNESS AND TRANSVERSE CONTROL - This invention provides fall protection systems, in metal building construction, and methods of installing such systems, a given such system comprising a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral support bands. The fall protection system uses safety clips to attach lateral bands to intermediate purlins, such that the safety clips accommodate flow-through longitudinal movement of the lateral bands through the safety clips. The invention further provides relatively softer, more extensible, support bands. The system, using the softer support bands, in combination with the flow-through longitudinal movement of the safety bands through the safety clips, distributes the impact of a falling load over an increased number of members of the structural members of the building resulting in enhanced capacity for the fall protection system to catch and hold falling loads. | 09-17-2015 |
20150315792 | METHOD OF REPLACING A PREVIOUSLY-INSTALLED DAYLIGHTING PANEL - A support structure for supporting loads on a sloping metal panel roof includes first and second side rails, an upper diverter, and a lower closure. An upstanding web of the upper diverter extends upwardly from the panel flat. An elongate lower flange extends from the upstanding web and is disposed against the metal roof panel. Opposing rib mating webs are on opposing sides of the lower flange. On a first side of the lower flange, a diversion leg of the lower flange is between the upstanding web and one of the rib mating webs. On the second side of the lower flange, the second rib mating web meets the upstanding web. The lower flange extends from the upstanding web to a distal end thereof up-slope of the lateral leg. The lower flange and the first and second rib mating webs can, collectively, define a common distal end of the upper diverter. | 11-05-2015 |
20150330083 | SUPPORT STRUCTURES ON ROOFS - A roof load support structure supports a load on a roof such that substantially all of the load is conveyed through rails, which are mounted on roof panel ribs, thence through roof panel ribs, and to underlying building support structure. The panel flat between the rails can be unobstructed such that water can flow freely down the panel flat between the rails; or end closures can close off access to the respective panel flat between the end closures and the rails. One such end closure can be an upper diverter at an up-slope end of the support structure. A lower edge of such upper diverter, e.g. at the panel flat, can slope downwardly across a width of the respective roof panel thereby to direct water laterally across the respective roof panel. | 11-19-2015 |

20100293610 | ENFORCING SECURE INTERNET CONNECTIONS FOR A MOBILE ENDPOINT COMPUTING DEVICE - Methods and apparatus enforce a secure internet connection from a mobiles endpoint computing device. A security policy for the endpoint is defined based on its location. From that location, an internet connection is established and detected. This event triggers the launching of a full VPN tunnel connection including an NDIS firewall forcing packet traffic through a port of the endpoint computing device assigned by the security policy and/or MAC/IP addresses of a VPN concentrator. Thereafter, the packet traffic is monitored for compliance with the security policy. This includes determining whether packet traffic over the assigned port is observed within a given time or packet traffic is attempted over other ports. Monitoring occurs whether or not the protocol of the VPN tunnel connection is known. Other features contemplate quarantining for improper operation of the VPN tunnel, undertaking remediation, and computer program products, to name a few. | 11-18-2010 |

20090010105 | SEISMIC DATA PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MIGRATION OF SEISMIC SIGNALS INCORPORATING AZIMUTHAL VARIATIONS IN THE VELOCITY - A method and system for seismic data processing utilizes azimuthal variations in the velocity of seismic signals. The system and method utilizes a plurality of seismic energy sources that are located at known positions at the surface of the earth. The seismic energy sources generate seismic signals that propagate downward into the earth. Some of the seismic signals are reflected and diffracted by various sub-surface layers and are returned to the surface of the earth. The returned seismic signals are received by a plurality of receivers. The method includes the step of determining the distance from an energy source to an image point. A fast travel time of the seismic signal from the energy source to the image point is determined, and a slow travel time of the seismic signal from the energy source to the image point is determined. The azimuth angle between the energy source and the surface location of the image point is calculated. A first travel time of the seismic signal traveling from the energy source to the image point is calculated. A second travel time of the seismic signal traveling from the image point to the seismic receiver is calculated. The total travel time is calculated by adding the first and second travel time. The amplitudes from the recorded signal at the total travel time are phase adjusted and added into the output image at the image point. The foregoing steps are repeated for a plurality of image points beneath the surface of the earth and the total travel time is calculated. | 01-08-2009 |
