20120151006CONTENT SHARING BETWEEN A UNIVERSAL PLUG AND PLAY DEVICE AND A WIDE AREA NETWORK DEVICE - Techniques and technologies are presented for extending digital content sharing to server-located contacts. A mobile content relay device operating in a local network, such as a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) network, is capable of communicating with remote network devices, such as computer devices or cellular telecommunication devices operating in a Wide Area Network (WAN). The mobile content relay device supports delivery of content from UPnP devices in the local network to virtual renderer devices in the WAN, and from content delivery devices in the WAN to renderer devices in the local network. The virtual renderer devices appear as server-maintained contacts to users of the UPnP devices, and the renderer devices in the local network appear as server-maintained contacts to users of the WAN-based content delivery devices.06-14-2012

20120196202MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY FOR CONTROLLING GAS FLOW AND FLOW DISTRIBUTION IN A FUEL CELL STACK - A manifold assembly for use with a fuel cell stack for the purpose of ensuring a desired flow distribution to fuel cells within the stack, with the most commonly desired being uniform flow distribution. Said manifold assembly comprising: an external manifold for abutting and sealingly enclosing a face of the fuel cell stack, wherein the manifold comprises an enclosure for one of: providing inlet gas to the fuel cell stack and receiving exhaust gas from said fuel cell stack; and one or more baffles disposed in the enclosure of the external manifold, the one or more baffles one of: (a) controlling gas flow distribution and direction of the inlet gas from the enclosure to fuel cells of the fuel cell stack to achieve a predetermined distribution or a uniform distribution; and (b) controlling gas flow distribution of the exhaust gas flow within the enclosure to achieve the predetermined distribution or the uniform distribution of gas to fuel cells of the fuel cell stack. A multi-stack fuel cell system including a baffling assembly with one or more baffles for providing a predetermined gas flow distribution to each fuel cell stack in the fuel cell system is also described. The baffling assembly is provided at a system level and comprises one or more baffles in an intake assembly and/or in an exhaust assembly of the multi-stack fuel cell system, so that each fuel cell stack receives a predetermined amount of gas.08-02-2012

20080236285Device for measuring bulk stress via insonification and method of use therefor - A device and method to nondestructively measure bulk stress in a member by employing an acoustic source, preferably an ultrasonic source, a processor, and a uniquely configured acoustic sensor package. The sensor package is configured to transmit both a longitudinal wave signal and a shear wave signal into the member. The processor is configured to capture reflections of the two impressed signals along a principal stress axis of the member and calculate the roundtrip time of the two signals. Knowing the length of the member along a principal stress axis, from the roundtrip times of the two signals, two velocities are calculated. By employing an equation that calculates bulk stress as a function of these shear and longitudinal wave velocities, a measure of bulk stress is calculated via the processor. The device measures bulk stress of a member that offers limited access in its permanent installation, such as dam reinforcements.10-02-2008
