20120257626SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IN-LINE REMOVAL OF DUPLICATE NETWORK PACKETS - Systems and methods are disclosed for in-line removal of duplicate network packets in network packet streams operating at high speeds (e.g., 1-10 Gbps and above). A hash generator applies at least one hash algorithm to incoming packets to form one or more different hash values. The packet deduplication systems and methods then use the one or more hash values for each incoming packet to identify data stored for previously received backs and use the identified data to determine if incoming packets are duplicate packets. Duplicate packets are then removed from the output packet stream thereby reducing duplicate packets for downstream processing. A deduplication window can further be utilized to limit the amount of data stored for previous packets based upon one or more parameters, such as an amount of time that has passed and/or a number of packets for which data has been stored. These parameters can also be selected, configured and/or adjusted to achieve desired operational objectives.10-11-2012

20090289552ULTRAVIOLET LAMP SYSTEM WITH COOLING AIR FILTER - A microwave-excited ultraviolet lamp system includes a microwave chamber cooled with air drawn through the chamber by a negative pressure source. A filter provided at an inlet of the lamp system prevents particulate material from entering the microwave chamber.11-26-2009
20100084574ULTRAVIOLET CURING APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUS MATERIAL - An ultraviolet radiation curing system is disclosed for treating a substrate, such as fiber optic cable or silicone tubing. The system comprises a processing chamber allowing transport of a continuous piece of substrate to be treated. As the substrate moves through the processing chamber, ultraviolet radiation from a plasma lamp activated by a microwave generator treats the surface of the substrate. The system comprises two elliptical reflectors of different sizes so that larger diameter substrates may be efficiently treated with ultraviolet radiation. The system may also comprise an ultraviolet-transmissive conduit enclosing the substrate and split into a first portion and a second portion, where the second portion is movable from the first portion to open the conduit and allow insertion or alignment of the substrate within the conduit and processing chamber.04-08-2010

20090063110Brachytherapy dose computation system and method - Brachytherapy dose attributable to a brachytherapy source is computed for portions of a patient treatment volume corresponding to a pathological target volume and critical structures. Patient image data is accessed to derive a material voxel array. Multiple computation grids are derived. Primary particle fluence is computed for each first grid element using a ray tracing process from which a primary dose and a first scattered particle source are derived. Scattered particle fluence of the first scattered particle source is derived for each second grid element from which a secondary dose is derived. Each first grid element corresponds to a plurality of second grid elements. Primary dose and scattered dose combine to provide total dose at specific volumes. Brachytherapy source models and non-anatomical body surface models may be applied as applicable.03-05-2009

20100325523FAULT-TOLERANT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING COMPRESSED READ-ONLY FILE SYSTEMS - A fault-tolerant approach for updating a compressed read-only file system in embedded devices using a two-step approach. In the first phase an update package creates an intermediate memory image where the data blocks are independently compressed so that, if needed, the data therein can be decompressed and read without access to any other surrounding data blocks. Then in the second phase the intermediate memory image is decompressed in a buffer so that it can be reimaged into its final form and order before being recompressed and written back to non-volatile memory over-writing the intermediate memory image.12-23-2010
20110107046BINARY-LEVEL UPDATE OF COMPRESSED READ-ONLY FILE SYSTEMS - A method and computer-readable memory device that enable processing of a first memory image comprising a plurality of compressed sub-blocks and uncompressed sub-blocks to produce a second memory image comprising contents of the first memory image arranged as a plurality of memory blocks. The memory blocks of the second memory image may be independently decompressible, to enable more efficient updating of an electronic device.05-05-2011
20120023489UPDATING COMPUTER FILES - A method of updating computer software includes identifying an orphaned computer file in a second version of computer software, the orphaned computer file having a name that does not correspond to any name of a computer file in a first version of computer software and computing symmetric divergence between the orphaned computer file and each computer file in the first version of computer software. The method also includes choosing a file from the computer files in the first version of computer software that yields a minimum value of symmetric divergence between the file and the orphaned computer file and using the file as a reference file for compressing the orphaned computer file.01-26-2012

20120056763SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DATA COMPRESSION - In one embodiment, an initial series of bytes are scanned to determine a frequency of occurrence within the initial series of bytes for a plurality of byte strings. A data structure is generated containing the plurality of byte strings and count values representing a frequency of occurrence for the plurality of byte strings in the initial series of bytes. A most common byte string of the plurality of byte strings in the initial series of bytes is determined from the count values. Each instance of the most common byte string in the initial series of bytes is replaced with a first substitute byte string to form a revised series of bytes. A most common byte string in the revised series of bytes is determined from the data structure without resetting the count values associated with at least some of the plurality of byte strings.03-08-2012
