20110210079 | CATALYTIC WET OXIDATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS - A system and method for the treatment of process streams. A catalyst mediates a wet oxidation process at elevated temperatures and pressures for treating at least one undesirable constituent in an aqueous mixture. A catalyst may be selected for its solubility at a detected pH level of the aqueous mixture. Alternatively, a pH level of the aqueous mixture may be adjusted to solubilize a selected catalyst and/or maintain the selected catalyst in a soluble form. A controller in communication with a pH sensor may be configured to generate a control signal to adjust the pH level of the aqueous mixture in response to the pH sensor registering a pH level outside a predetermined pH solubility range for a selected catalyst. | 09-01-2011 |

20110079560 | CATALYTIC WET OXIDATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS - A system and method for the treating at least one undesirable constituent in an aqueous mixture utilizing a particulate solids catalyst. The aqueous mixture and the particulate solids catalyst form a slurry which is wet oxidized. | 04-07-2011 |
20130008858 | Systems and Methods for Process Stream Treatment - Systems and methods for process stream treatment. The treatment system may generally include an oxidation unit coupled to a downstream demineralization unit. The oxidation unit may oxidize organic and reduced sulfur contaminants in the process stream to facilitate downstream treatment. The demineralization unit may convert a product of the oxidation unit to generate a mineral stream. In some examples, the process stream may be a spent caustic stream from an industrial operation, such as an ethylene production facility or a petroleum refinery. A fresh caustic stream, such as a sodium hydroxide stream, may be isolated in the demineralization step and returned to the industrial operation for use. | 01-10-2013 |
20130206705 | pH CONTROL TO ENABLE HOMOGENEOUS CATALYTIC WET AIR OXIDATION - A system and method for the treatment of process streams is provided. | 08-15-2013 |

20080280093 | HOMOGENOUSLY BRANCHED ETHYLENE POLYMER CARPET BACKSIZING COMPOSITIONS - The present invention pertains to carpet and methods of making carpet. In one aspect, the carpet includes (a) a primary backing which has a face and a back surface, (b) a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing and extending from the face of the primary backing and exposed at the back surface of the primary backing, (c) an adhesive backing, (d) an optional secondary backing adjacent to the adhesive backing, and (e) at least one homogeneously branched ethylene polymer. The method includes extrusion coating at least one homogeneously branched ethylene polymer onto the back surface of a primary backing to provide an adhesive backing. The method can include additional steps or procedures, either separately or in various combinations. Additional steps and procedures include washing or scouring the primary backing and fibers prior to the extrusion step, and utilizing implosion agents. The preferred homogeneously branched ethylene polymer is a substantially linear ethylene polymer. The constructions and methods described herein are particularly suited for making tufted, broad-loom carpet having improved abrasion resistance. | 11-13-2008 |
20120295056 | HOMOGENEOUSLY BRANCHED ETHYLENE POLYMER CARPET BACKSIZING COMPOSITIONS - Disclosed herein are carpets and carpet tiles comprising a primary backing material having a face and a back side; a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing material and extending from the face of the primary backing material and exposed at the back side of the primary backing material; and an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition generally comprises at least one homogenously branched ethylene polymer. Also disclosed are methods for manufacturing the disclosed carpets and carpet tiles. | 11-22-2012 |

20100229362 | Mechanical device for spreading flanges apart - The device is based on using a thrust bolt in a modified C-clamp design to push a pressure plate to pry apart two intersecting flanges of a profile. The device is primarily used for on-boat repairing of aluminum extrusion profile boat toe rails that have segments of their vertical flanges crushed inward. It has utility for bending any flanges apart that are greater than 20 and less than 160 degrees apart to start with. It has utility for bending flanges apart that are made from any material, such as metal, that has an elastic limit and enough plastic flow to permanently bend without rupture. | 09-16-2010 |
