20080261570Radio Communication Apparatus and Method of Control - A method of operating a radio communication apparatus (10-23-2008
20080293439Associated Paging Indicator - A receiver for receiving wireless communication signals from a transmitter is arranged to operate in one of a plurality of states. The receiver is arranged to perform a state transition from the current state to another state among the plurality of states upon reception of a Paging Indicator Signal. The Paging Indicator Signal comprising an indication of the one of the plurality of states to which the state transition is to be performed.11-27-2008
20090190681SPACE-TIME/SPACE-FREQUENCY CODING FOR MULTI-SITE AND MULTI-BEAM TRANSMISSION - The present invention relates to space-time or space-frequency coding in cellular systems. The same data is transmitted from different antennas with different coverage areas, corresponding to different cells. The different data streams have different parts of the space-time block codes applied. A mobile terminal can combine the different parts of the space-time block codes in different received signals. This provides better performance than the known techniques for single frequency networks. The invention can also be applied to antennas with different coverage areas from the same site, and different beams formed with antenna arrays.07-30-2009
20090290495RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - In a radio communication system having a data channel for the transmission of data packets from a primary station to a secondary station, a plurality of downlink control channels are used to signal information relating to packet transmission. A problem with this scheme is that with a fixed control channel allocation system throughput (T) for a given offered load (O) can be significantly reduced in a worst case scenario (for example two secondary stations using the same control channel). One solution uses an indicator signal to inform a secondary station of the control channel it should receive, but this adds significant complexity to the system. The present invention provides a simpler scheme having similar benefits by shuffling the allocation of control channels to secondary stations, according to a defined sequence for each secondary station, thereby avoiding the worst case scenario.11-26-2009
20110128859METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A NETWORK, A SECONDARY STATION AND SYSTEM THEREFOR - The present invention relates to a method of communicating in a network, comprising a secondary station transmitting to a primary station a data packet comprising a report, the secondary station monitoring before transmission of the packet whether said packet includes an indication of the order of transmission in a sequence of transmitted packets, and adding an indication of the order of transmission in a sequence of transmitted packets.06-02-2011
20110143765METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A NETWORK, A SECONDARY STATION AND A SYSTEM THEREFOR - The present invention relates to a method for communicating in a network, comprising a) a secondary station preparing the transmission to a primary station of a message comprising at least a data field for containing data in an allocated resource, said resource comprising a plurality of resource blocks, and b) if the size of the allocated resource is bigger than required for the size of the message, the secondary station dividing the allocated resource in a first portion and a second portion, each portion comprising at least one resource block, c) the secondary station transmitting the message to the primary station in the first portion of the resource, d) the secondary station preventing from transmitting in the second portion of the resource.06-16-2011
20110143801METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING A NETWORK, A SECONDARY STATION AND A SYSTEM THEREFOR - The present invention relates to a method for communicating in a network comprising at least one primary station communicating with at least one secondary station, comprising (a) the secondary station sending to the primary station a buffer status report representative of the amount of data in a buffer of the secondary station, (b) in absence of acknowledgement from the primary station, the secondary station retransmitting the buffer status report and, (c) if a maximum number of retransmissions has been reached, the secondary station sending a further buffer status report to the primary station.06-16-2011
20110151883METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A NETWORK, A SECONDARY STATION AND A SYSTEM THEREFOR - The present invention relates to a method for communicating in a network, comprising a) a secondary station preparing the transmission to a primary station of a message comprising a report and a data field for containing data in an allocated resource, and b) the secondary station setting at least one transmission parameter of the message at a first level of reliability if the size of the allocated resource is bigger than the size of the message, and else setting at least one transmission parameter at second level of reliability being lower than the first level of reliability, c) the secondary station transmitting the message to the primary station.06-23-2011
