20090317705FUEL CELL INTERCONNECT STRUCTURES, AND RELATED DEVICES AND PROCESSES - A method for the formation of a diffusion barrier layer on a surface of at least one fuel cell interconnect structure is described. The interconnect structure is usually formed from ferritic stainless steel, and includes chromium. The method includes the step of coating an austenite phase-stabilizer on the interconnect surface, and then heating the coated surface. The heat treatment transforms the microstructure of the surface region of the interconnect, from a substantially ferritic body-centered cubic (BCC) phase to a substantially austenitic face-centered cubic (FCC) phase. The diffusion rate of chromium through the FCC phase is relatively low. Thus, the formation of a thick layer of chromium oxide can be minimized, leading to better fuel cell performance. Related fuel cells and fuel cell stacks are also disclosed.12-24-2009
20100055533BARRIER COATINGS FOR INTERCONNECTS; RELATED DEVICES, AND METHODS OF FORMING - A method of preparing a solid oxide fuel cell is described herein, as well as the fuel cell itself. The method comprises forming a cathode layer comprising a strontium composition on a ceramic electrolyte layer; and forming a barrier layer between the cathode layer and an overlying interconnect structure comprising chromium, so as to substantially prevent the formation of strontium chromate.03-04-2010
20110142708METHODS FOR PROCESSING NANOSTRUCTURED FERRITIC ALLOYS, AND ARTICLES PRODUCED THEREBY - A formed article comprising a nanostructured ferritic alloy is provided. Advantageously, the article is not formed via extrusion, and thus, cost savings are provided. Methods are also provided for forming the article, and the articles so produced, exhibit sufficient continuous cycle fatigue crack growth resistance and hold time fatigue crack growth resistance to be utilized as turbomachinery components, and in particular, large, hot section components of a gas or steam turbine engines. In other embodiments, a turbomachinery component comprising an NFA is provided, and in some such embodiments, the turbomachinery component may be extruded.06-16-2011
20110250074MULTI-ALLOY ARTICLE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF - An article includes a first section extending from an outer periphery to a predetermined surface located inward from the outer periphery. The first section comprises a nanostructured ferritic alloy. The article includes a second section extending from an inner periphery to the predetermined surface located outward from the inner periphery. The second section comprises at least one other alloy different from the nanostructured ferritic alloy.10-13-2011

20120096036Systems and Methods for Data Indexing and Processing - Systems and methods are disclosed that allow for indexing, processing, or both of information from physical media or electronic media, which may be received from a plurality of sources. In embodiments, a document file may be matched using pattern matching methods and may include comparisons with a comparison reference database to improve or accelerate the indexing process. In embodiments, information may be presented to a user as potential matches thereby improving manual indexing processes. In embodiments, one or more additional actions may occur as part of the processing, including without limitation, association additional data with a document file, making observations from the document file, notifying individuals, creating composite messages, and billing events. In an embodiment, data from a document file may be associated with a key word, key phrase, or word frequency value that enables adaptive learning so that unindexed data may be automatically indexed based on user interaction history.04-19-2012

20100219630COUPLING ASSEMBLY FOR FLUID LINES - A coupling assembly for releasably interconnecting fluid passages comprises male and female coupling members, which are mated by inserting a probe and socket of the members respectively. Each coupling member has a first end arranged for connection to a fluid passage. When mated in use, the coupling assembly provides a straight fluid conduit between the fluid passages comprising through-bores in each of the coupling members coincident along a first longitudinal axis. When mated in use, the probe and socket are arranged coincident on a second longitudinal axis, which is inclined to the first axis. Sealing means comprising an annular sealing ring proximate each of the socket and probe are arranged, when mated in use, either side of an intersection between the through-bore and socket. The sealing arrangement is such that fluid within the fluid conduit exerts a net force resisting separation of said coupling members.09-02-2010
