20090212986SIGNAL READING SYSTEM - A signal reader system having a processor for reconstructing a relatively high-frequency input signal to a low-pass filter from an output of the filter based on a characterization of the filter. The characterization may be adapted to compensate for filter output changes due to temperature. A signal reader may be connected to the output of the processor to determine certain things, such as a pulse count, about the filter input signal.08-27-2009
20090213917SELF-CALIBRATING SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION SYSTEM - An approach for calibrating a signal reconstruction system. A signal may be input to a low-pass filter. An output of the filter may be converted to a digital signal which goes to a processor which outputs a reconstruction of the signal to the filter. The reconstruction may be based on an expression that maintains the accuracy of the reconstruction. The expression may include information about samples of the input signal and a low value of the reconstruction. The expression may permit initial calibration and then maintenance of the calibration. The calibration may include compensating for inexpensive components of the filter which have values significantly different than indicated values and/or have large drifts over temperature changes.08-27-2009
20100286799APPROACH FOR AUTOMATICALLY SETTING THE DEVICE INSTANCE OF A BACNET DEVICE - An approach for automatically setting the device instance of a device such as a unitary controller without reliance on a router and/or global controller, or something like a special extension to an associated router and/or global controller. The approach may be implementable entirely by logic in the unitary controller.11-11-2010
20110161844CHANGEABLE BACNET INTERFACE - A changeable BACnet interface system having a workstation and a controller. The system may allow a controller object interface to be engineered and downloaded to the controller via configuration files, rather than as individual objects created at run time. A BACnet network may be connected to the workstation and controller. BACnet objects may be designed to constitute an interface to the control application, and be stored in the controller. The BACnet interface may be presented to the BACnet network.06-30-2011

20090086014LOCAL POSITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD - A local positioning system which includes a video camera, a computer communicating with the video camera and a target object sighted by the video camera and having a target object coordinate system. The computer is adapted to define a relative position and orientation of the video camera with respect to the target object, determine a position and orientation of the video camera in the target object coordinate system, and determine the position of a point of interest in the target object coordinate system. The system can also be used to aim the camera at a previously recorded point of interest on the target object. Contact with, or close proximity to, the target object is not required. A local positioning method is also disclosed.04-02-2009

20100018271Forming Method And Apparatus And An Associated Preform Having A Hydrostatic Pressing Medium - A method and apparatus for forming a workpiece having a desired configuration as well as an associated preform assembly are provided. The forming method and apparatus as well as the preform assembly include a hydrostatic pressing medium, such as a layer of glass, disposed within the die cavity proximate to at least one side of the workpiece. The hydrostatic pressing medium is configured to have a relatively low viscosity at the temperatures at which the workpiece is processed, thereby facilitating the relatively even application of pressure to the workpiece. As such, a workpiece having a complex configuration may be formed utilizing a single acting die.01-28-2010
20100021578Apparatus For Forming And Heat Treating Structural Assemblies - There are provided an apparatus and an associated method for manufacturing superplastically formed structural assemblies from preforms. The apparatus includes first and second co-operable dies structured to define a die cavity therebetween for at least partially receiving the preform, at least one heater in thermal communication with the die cavity for heating the preform to a forming temperature, and at least one injector in fluid communication with the die cavity. The injector is structured for injecting pressurized gas into the die cavity to urge the preform against one of the dies to form the preform into the structural assembly. Further, at least one of the injectors is structured for injecting a quenchant into the die cavity to thereby heat treat the structural assembly while distortion of the structural assembly is being at least partially restrained by at least one of the dies.01-28-2010
