| 20100184630 | BREAKING THE RHEOLOGY OF A WELLBORE FLUID BY CREATING PHASE SEPARATION - Embodiments of this invention relate to compositions and methods of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a well bore including introducing a Theological polymer into a subterranean formation, introducing a partitioning agent into a subterranean formation and forming a heterogeneous mixture comprising a dispersed Theological polymer-rich phase and a partitioning agent-rich phase, wherein the viscosity of the mixture is lower than the viscosity of the mixture when no partitioning agent is present. Embodiments of this invention relate to compositions and methods of treating a surface in contact with a wellbore and/or a subterranean formation penetrated by a well bore including forming a heterogeneous mixture comprising a dispersed Theological polymer-rich phase and a partitioning agent-rich phase at the surface of the subterranean formation, and introducing the mixture into a subterranean formation, wherein the viscosity of the mixture within the subterranean formation is lower than the viscosity of the mixture when no partitioning agent is present and wherein the viscosity of the mixture within the subterranean formation is lower than the viscosity of the mixture when the mixture is formed at the surface of the subterranean formation. | 07-22-2010 |

| 20100184631 | PROVISION OF VISCOUS COMPOSITIONS BELOW GROUND - A method of providing a viscous emulsion at a subterranean location accessible via a wellbore, begins by providing an aqueous/aqueous emulsion comprising two aqueous solutions which, at surface temperature and pressure, are able to co-exist as separate aqueous phases in contact with each other. The two phases contain respective solutes which are sufficiently incompatible that they cause phase separation. The dispersed phase is rich in one solute, which may be a thickening polymer, while continuous phase is rich in a second solute, which may comprise surfactant. A hydrophobic liquid is dispersed in this emulsion to become the dispersed phase of a viscous emulsion whose continuous phase is provided by the aqueous/aqueous emulsion. The hydrophobic liquid and the aqueous/aqueous emulsion may be pumped separately down the wellbore to the subterranean location, and allowed to mix there so as to form the viscous emulsion at the subterranean location. On mixing, surfactant from the aqueous/aqueous emulsion may migrate to the oil/water interface, allowing the aqueous phases to become one phase with the result that the emulsion is further thickened by any thickening polymer in its composition. Even more thickening can be achieved by crosslinking the thickening polymer. | 07-22-2010 |

| 20120064192 | Enzymatic Oil-Degumming Method - A process of enzymatic degumming edible oils, comprising treating edible oil with a lipid acyltransferase so as to transfer an acyl group from a major part of the phospholipid to one or more acyl acceptors, wherein the acyl acceptor may be any compound comprising a hydroxyl group. In one embodiment preferably the acyl acceptor is water and in another embodiment preferably the acyl acceptor is one or more sterols and/or stanols. When the acyl acceptor is a stanol and/or sterol, one or more sterol esters and/or stanol esters are produced. The lipid acyltransferase for use in the process of the present invention may comprise one or more of the following amino acid sequences: SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 7, SEQ ID NO: 8, SEQ ID NO: 9, SEQ ID NO: 10, SEQ ID NO: 11, SEQ ID NO: 12, SEQ ID NO: 13, SEQ ID NO: 14, or SEQ ID NO: 15, SEQ ID NO: 16, SEQ ID NO: 17, SEQ ID NO: 18, SEQ ID NO: 36, SEQ ID NO: 38, SEQ ID NO: 40, SEQ ID NO: 41, SEQ ID NO: 45, SEQ ID NO: 47, SEQ ID NO: 50 or an amino acid sequence which has 75% or more identity thereto. A novel lipid acyltransferase comprising the amino acid sequence shown as SEQ ID NO: 16 is also taught. | 03-15-2012 |
