| 20080200187 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING CELL CENTER POSITION FOR CELL ID BASED POSITIONING - Systems and methods for estimating a cell center location in a wireless communication system having all interface to a satellite positioning system (“SPS”) such as for example, a Geosynchronous Positioning System (“GPS”). The wireless communication system provides service to mobile stations within a cell, each mobile station includes a SPS receiver. Examples of the systems and methods for estimating a cell center location analyze the mobile station locations in a cell as a uniform distribution of mobile station locations and calculate a statistical measure characterizing the mobile station locations as a function of the mobile station locations. In one example, the statistical measure is a maximum likelihood mobile station location. In another example, the statistical measure is the mean mobile station location in the cell. The estimated cell center location may be used to approximate the location of the mobile station during a warm or cold restart of the SPS receiver part of the mobile station. | 08-21-2008 |

| 20090031307 | MANAGING A VIRTUAL MACHINE - Management of a virtual machine is enhanced by establishing an initial availability policy for the machine. Once the virtual machine is invoked, the real environment for the virtual machine is monitored for the occurrence of predetermined events. If a real environment event is detected that could affect the availability of the virtual machine, the availability policy of the virtual machine is automatically adjusted to reflect the new or predicted state of the real environment. | 01-29-2009 |

| 20090292654 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CALCULATING USE CHARGES IN A VIRTUALIZED INFRASTRUCTURE - A method for calculating computing resource use charges for a data center consumer entity is disclosed. The data center consumer entity accesses one or more of a plurality of computing resources in a data center. The method includes retrieving usage data of each of the plurality of computing resources. The usage data is retrieved for a selected period of use of each of the plurality of computing resources by the data center consumer entity. Each of the plurality of computing resources includes at least one of a CPU, a disk, a Network Interface Card (NIC), and a memory. The method further includes retrieving a rate plan data for the data center consumer entity and retrieving per unit charge, base rate, and rate factor for each of the plurality of computing resources. Further, a sum of a sum of multiplications of billed units of each of the plurality of computing resources by per unit charge, base rate, and rate factor is calculated. The billed units include one of actual used units or reserved units. The rate plan data includes information whether the actual used units or the reserved units to be used in calculating the sum. | 11-26-2009 |

| 20100180092 | METHOD AND SYSTEM OF VISUALIZATION OF CHANGES IN ENTITIES AND THEIR RELATIONSHIPS IN A VIRTUAL DATACENTER THROUGH A LOG FILE - Disclosed are a method and system of visualization of changes in entities and their relationships in a virtual data center through a log file. In one embodiment, a machine-readable medium embodying a set of instructions is disclosed. Periodically a snapshot is captured from an application programming interface of a management server. The snapshot comprises of entities and relationships of a virtual datacenter. An information of the snapshot is identified. The identified information is relevant to visualization of a state of the virtual datacenter in a log file. An activity of a change in entities and relationships of the virtual datacenter is tracked. An event is registered with the management server through the application programming interface. Based on the event a corresponding delta operation is created and added to the log file. | 07-15-2010 |
