20110276355 | Method and system for informed decision making to locate a workforce - The present invention generally relates to a computer-implemented method and system for informed decision making when a user decides between and amongst geographic areas having a suitable workforce. More specifically, the present invention applies user selections that send SQL statements that extract and index data on workforce demographics for a range of areas over a Network. Data is returned to the user's computer as a virtual table and is a mixture of critical or informational factors representing all areas returning data. Areas are ranked according to the value of an area's lowest returned index number, and data is displayed where each critical factor's lowest index value and its corresponding low value are extracted and used as ranking factors for all area's returning data. Areas are screened by acceptable values for critical factors. Area utilities are created by weighting critical factors based on user needs when selecting a workforce. | 11-10-2011 |

20100004953 | METHODS FOR DIGITAL MANAGEMENT OF UNDERWRITING INSURANCE CONTRACTS - Disclosed are methods of underwriting insurance contracts. In one embodiment a method comprises receiving from a registered user a request for approval of the insurance contract, the request for approval of the insurance contract including underwriting parameters of the insurance contract; reading, from a user database underwriting criteria corresponding to the user; determining whether the underwriting parameters of the insurance contract satisfy the underwriting criteria of the user; and providing an interface including a status message indicating that at least one underwriting criterion is not satisfied, if at least one underwriting criterion is not satisfied. The interface can include a graphical element linking a part of the status message with a displayed parameter of the contract. In another embodiment the method further comprises determining whether the underwriting parameters of the insurance contract satisfy underwriting criteria corresponding to a managing user with a greater scope of authority than the registered user. | 01-07-2010 |
20100004954 | SYSTEMS FOR DIGITAL MANAGEMENT OF UNDERWRITING INSURANCE CONTRACTS - Disclosed are systems for underwriting insurance contracts. In one embodiment a system comprises a rules database of business rules specifying one or more conditions based upon one or more underwriting parameters; a user database comprising entries corresponding to registered users; and a processor configured to: provide to the user a form having a plurality of data fields generated based upon the underwriting parameters specified in the business rules; receive a plurality of inputted underwriting parameters corresponding to the data fields; determine whether the inputted underwriting parameters satisfy the business rules; and if at least one of the inputted underwriting parameters does not satisfy the business rules, provide a status message indicating that at least one business rule is not satisfied. The status message can be provided in an interface that includes a graphical element linking a part of the status message with a portion of the displayed form. | 01-07-2010 |

20100132240 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EASY CONNECT STOCKS - A method and apparatus are disclosed for substituting a different stock, or a different receiver assembly, in a long gun (e.g., a shotgun) without the use of tools by a user in the field. Applicants' preferred apparatus comprises: a long gun (e.g., an illustrated shotgun) having a stock and a receiver assembly; and an adaptor assembly which removably interconnects the stock to the receiver assembly, wherein the adaptor assembly includes: an adaptor base affixed to the receiver; an end of the stock is mounted onto the adaptor base; and a rotatable locking pin, continuously attached to the base, which can be lifted up and rotated or turned on its axis by 90° to unlock the adaptor assembly. The stock can then be pulled off the adaptor base. Upon a new stock being mounted on the adaptor base, the locking pin can be rotated back to its original orientation and pushed down to lock the adaptor assembly, whereupon the adaptor assembly interconnects the substitute stock with the receiver assembly. While Applicants' locking pin can rotate and move up-and-down, it is always maintained within the adaptor assembly, even throughout the entire process of swapping a different stock. | 06-03-2010 |
