20110054266METHOD FOR PROTOCOL CREATION IN A DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SYSTEM - A method of exam protocol creation in a diagnostic imaging system includes initiating a non-protocol diagnostic imaging exam with the diagnostic imaging system. Concurrently with implementation of the initiated non-protocol diagnostic imaging exam, procedural characteristics of the non-protocol diagnostic imaging exam are recorded, wherein recording includes automatic system recording. In addition, the method includes defining a diagnostic imaging exam protocol in response to the recorded procedural characteristics of the non-protocol diagnostic imaging exam. Defining includes producing an automatic system generated definition of the diagnostic imaging exam protocol as a function of information extracted from the recorded procedural characteristics.03-03-2011

20090203999System and Method for DICOM Compliant Display of Ultrasound Images in Varying Ambient Light - An ultrasound imaging system includes an ultrasound probe receiving echo signals from a subject, and a processor converting echo signals received from the probe to echo data corresponding to an ultrasound image. The system also includes a grayscale mapper transforming the echo data received from the processor to a corresponding value of perception data. The grayscale mapper makes this transformation using a DICOM compliant GSDF calibration curve. The perception data is passed to a transform processor, which also receives an ambient light signal from an ambient light sensor. The transform processor converts the perception values to respective digital driving levels based on the ambient light signal and display characteristics of a display device to which the digital driving levels are applied to maintain optimal image display under varying ambient light conditions.08-13-2009

20110271986LOW-PRESSURE SLUDGE REMOVAL METHOD AND APPARATUS USING COHERENT JET NOZZLES - Provided area cleaning apparatus and an associated method of using the disclosed apparatus wherein the apparatus utilizes one or more nozzles configured to provide a coherent stream of one or more cleaning fluids for removing accumulated fine particulate matter, sludge, from surfaces. The nozzles may be sized, arranged and configured to provide coherent streams that maintain the initial stream diameter for a substantial portion of the maximum dimension of the space being cleaned. The apparatus and method are expected to be particularly useful in the cleaning of heat exchangers incorporating a plurality of substantially vertical and narrowly spaced tubes by directing cleansing streams along a plurality of intertube spaces.11-10-2011
