The system also includes a grayscale mapper transforming the echo data received from the processor to a corresponding value of perception data. The grayscale mapper makes this transformation using a DICOM compliant GSDF calibration curve. The perception data is passed to a transform processor, which also receives an ambient light signal from an ambient light sensor.
