20100188192KEYLESS-GO IGNITION SWITCH WITH FAULT BACKUP - A vehicle ignition system includes a fob for transmitting an identification code. The fob includes a low frequency transceiver circuit and low frequency antenna. An ignition module is provided including, a housing, switch contacts and a push button slidably mounted in the housing and arranged so that pushing of said button closes said switch contacts. A LF coil is provided and is axially stationary within the housing and is located inside of the push button. An ignition module circuit provides power to the fob and establishes low frequency communications with the fob via the LF coil. An immobilizer circuit is operatively coupled to the ignition module for permitting or preventing actuation of the ignition system in response to the low frequency communications with the fob and the ignition module.07-29-2010

20090038720Heat Treatment of Aluminium Alloy High Pressure Die Castings - A method for the heat treatment of a casting produced by high pressure die casting, that may exhibit blister forming porosity in the as-cast condition, of an age-hardenable aluminium alloy, includes solution treating the casting by heating the casting to and within a temperature range enabling solute elements to be taken into solid solution. The casting then is cooled to terminate the solution treatment by quenching the casting to a temperature below 100° C. The cooled casting is held in a temperature range enabling natural and/or artificial ageing. The solution treatment is conducted to achieve a level of solute element solution enabling age-hardening without expansion of pores in the casting causing unacceptable blistering of the casting.02-12-2009
20110100515ALUMINIUM BASED CASTING ALLOY - An aluminium based alloy has a weight percentage composition of from 5 to 15% silicon, 0 to 0.25% magnesium, 0 to 0.25% titanium, 0.2 to 0.65% manganese, 0.1 to 0.6% iron, 1 to 4% copper, 0 to 3% zinc, less than 0.01% in total of silicon modifiers (with less than 0.007% strontium), less than 0.05% tin, less than 0.2% in total of other transition or rare earth metals (with less than 0.05% chromium), less than 0.5% in total other elements, and a balance of aluminium. The limits for iron and manganese are constrained such that the amount of iron present in the alloy is 0.4 to 1.6 times the manganese content and the alloy has a sludge factor (SF), calculated as SF=(1×wt % Fe)+(2×wt % Mn), of from 0.8 to 1.6. A casting made from the alloy has enhanced fracture resistance relative to casting of the same product made of a conventional HPDC alloy when compared in the as cast or same heat treated state.05-05-2011
