20090151942SAND CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAND PRODUCTION - A method for controlling sand production in a well drilled in a subterranean formation comprising installing an expandable sand screen assembly in the well. The expandable sand screen assembly comprises an expandable sand screen in an unexpanded configuration. A slurry is pumped down the well and circulated through the annular space defined by the expandable sand screen and the formation. The expandable sand screen is expanded thereby dehydrating the slurry in the annular space.06-18-2009

20100299812PROTECTIVE ARRANGEMENT - A protective arrangement has a rigid shell to cover a body part and at least one impact absorbing pad removably attached to the inner surface of the rigid shell. The pad has an outer part made of an outer curved sheet and an inner part made of an inner sheet that is parallel to and spaced inwardly from the outer sheet to define a space. The inner and outer sheets have a plurality of spaced apart projecting hollow protrusions extending to the other sheet, the protrusions of one sheet alternating with the protrusions of the other sheet to form an impact absorbing pattern of alternating protrusions in the space between the sheets.12-02-2010
20110131695TPU/Foam Jaw Pad - A protective jaw pad for equipment having a shell includes a first resilient shock absorbing member having a sheet portion with a plurality of hollow protrusions, tapering side walls of the protrusions being compressible for absorbing shocks applied to the shell. The pad includes a second resilient shock absorbing member that is either a monolithic block of foam or is made up of a second sheet portion with a plurality of hollow protrusions that are interleaved with the first protrusion. A cover covers either the first or the second shock absorbing member and a plurality of fasteners removably connect the jaw pad to the shell.06-09-2011
20110131710Quick Release Faceguard Retainer - A quick release faceguard retainer for use with a protective headgear and faceguard. The headgear has a face opening and an outer surface with a selected curvature. The faceguard has at least one top substantially horizontal bar. The retainer includes a base portion with a front surface and a back surface. The back surface of the base is adapted to be fixedly attached to the outer surface of the headgear above the face opening and has a curvature matching the curvature of the outer surface of the headgear above the face opening. Two complementary retention arms protrude out from the front surface of the base to form two complementary retention channels. One channel has a downward opening and the other has an upward opening and both have an inner surface which together surround the top horizontal bar of the faceguard. Also provided is a faceguard engagement space between the two retention arms having a size for receiving the top bar.06-09-2011

20090015931LASER DIODE AND LENS ASSEMBLIES - A laser diode assembly and a tens assembly associated with a pre-scan unit for use in a laser printer are presented. Further presented is a laser diode/collimation lens apparatus. Each of the laser diode assembly, the lens assembly and the laser diode/collimation lens apparatus includes a mounting bracket comprising a compressible section.01-15-2009
20090027478Spring Clip - A method and apparatus for attaching a mirror to a housing with a spring clip such that the spring clip applies a substantially constant force to the mirror when a fastener for attaching the spring clip to a mounting structure of the housing has an axis defining an angle with a surface of the mounting structure that is within a predetermined range of angles. An arched contact surface with an aperture for receiving the fastener is provided on the spring clip such that the fastener contacts the contact surface tangentially.01-29-2009
20110025815Mounting Assembly for Reflection Mirror in Laser Scanning Unit - A mounting assembly, for mounting a reflection mirror within a laser scanning unit, includes a mounting structure, and a pair of urging members. The mounting structure includes a base member, and a first pair of support protrusions and a second pair of support protrusions configured on the base member. Each of the first pair of support protrusions and the second pair of support protrusions includes a first support protrusion having a first top surface, and a second support protrusion having a second top surface. The first support protrusion is capable of supporting an end portion of the reflection mirror on the first top surface. Each urging member of the pair of urging members is adapted to be secured over the second top surface of the second support protrusion for urging the end portion of the reflection mirror on the first support protrusion.02-03-2011
