20090248885CONTROLLING THE TRANSFER OF TERMINAL SERVER DATA - The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for controlling the transfer of terminal server data. In some embodiments, contending request to send terminal server data are resolved by a flow control module situated between a terminal server protocol and a transport/network protocol. The flow control module utilizes channel priorities along with amounts of previously sent data per channel to determine how to distribute bandwidth in a relatively controlled manner between contending channels. The flow control module can be configured to intercept communication between terminal server protocol and a transport/network protocol to facilitate bandwidth distribution. In other embodiments, data is simultaneously sent over multiple channels of terminal server connection. A first write operation obtains a lock on a corresponding channel but the channel lock does not prevent write operations on other channels.10-01-2009
20110138061ESTABLISHING AND UTILIZING TERMINAL SERVER DYNAMIC VIRTUAL CHANNELS - The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for establishing and utilizing terminal server dynamic virtual channels. In some embodiments, a terminal server sends a new channel request to a terminal server. The client receives the new channel request and forwards the new channel request to a listener for a plug-in. The listener creates an instance of the client side plug-in and sends a channel accept to the terminal server. The terminal server receives the channel accept and creates an instance of a server side plug-in. The server and the client agree to use a unique identifier for identifying the established dynamic virtual channel. In other embodiments, data for a dynamic virtual channel is tunneled between computers over a static virtual channel.06-09-2011

20080281650METHOD FOR COMPUTING THE RESILIENCY SCORE OF AN ORGANIZATION OR ANY PART THEREOF - A method computes a resiliency score of an entity by representing the entity as a set of components. The method determines interactions and relationships and can, in one embodiment, determine two types of relationships between the components to produce resiliency scores for the components. These two types of relationships comprise a dependency relationship (whether a first component depends on one or more additional components to function) and a substitution relationship (whether two or more components share some functionality, and whether the first component can be at least partially substituted for one or more additional components). The method computes and outputs an overall score representing a resiliency of the entity based on the scores of the components of the entity and relationships between the components.11-13-2008

20090106068SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RESILIENCY PLANNING - A method and a system for efficiently planning resiliency in a work environment based on resiliency parameters for a given definition of service, determining a best allocation plan with resources allocated, and allocating a resource request in a best allocation plan to the requesting source to perform the definition of service.04-23-2009
20100211957SCHEDULING AND ASSIGNING STANDARDIZED WORK REQUESTS TO PERFORMING CENTERS - Techniques for allocating work requests to performing centers include generating options for assigning the work requests to the performing centers. The options are based upon predetermined historical factors capturing work request characteristics and performing center characteristics. For each of the options, the work requests are scheduled to determine a corresponding duration of the work requests, and an overall cost is computed. One of the options is selected based on the overall cost and the corresponding duration.08-19-2010
