20090053085Peristalitic pump assembly and method for attaching a cassette thereto - A peristaltic pump assembly includes a housing having a cassette receiving portion defined therein, a securing shaft positioned within the cassette receiving portion, and a cassette including a tube disposed therein selectively engageable with the cassette receiving portion. A knob removably engages a portion of the securing shaft and includes a tab extending therefrom configured to contact and compress the tube when in a disengagement position.02-26-2009
20090056130Flow meter for measuring a flow rate of a flow of a fluid - A flow meter for measuring a flow rate of a flow of a fluid includes a housing member including a first section configured to matingly couple with a second section. The flow meter further includes an integrally formed laminar flow member removably held within at least a portion of the first section of the housing member. The laminar flow member includes a body and a plurality of channels integrally formed within the body, wherein each of the plurality of channels is substantially continuous in the longitudinal direction and substantially continuous in the transverse direction.03-05-2009
20090087325PERISTALTIC PUMP ASSEMBLY AND REGULATOR THEREFOR - A peristaltic pump assembly includes a pump body and a cassette removably attached thereto, wherein the cassette includes a race configured to provide a compression surface for a tube supported by the cassette. A roller assembly is operatively connected to the pump body, wherein the roller assembly includes a plurality of rollers configured to apply a predetermined force to the tube, thereby compressing the tube against the race. The peristaltic pump assembly further includes a regulator disposed in the pump body and operatively connected to the cassette, where the regulator is configured to regulate the predetermined force applied to the tube.04-02-2009
20090087326PERISTALTIC PUMP ASSEMBLY - A peristaltic pump assembly includes a pump body including a mounting pin coupled thereto. A removable cassette is slidably received on the mounting pin and is secured to the pump body via a retaining feature. The mounting pin is also configured to allow the removable cassette to rotate into and/or out of an installed position, or to position(s) therebetween.04-02-2009
20090087327PERISTALTIC PUMP AND REMOVABLE CASSETTE THEREFOR - A removable cassette for a peristaltic pump includes a cassette body and an occluder disposed at least partially in the cassette body and configured to be movable between an occluding position and a non-occluding position. The occluder includes an occluder body and an anti-ejection member integrally formed on the occluder body. The anti-ejection member is configured to substantially prevent the removal of the cassette from the peristaltic pump when the occluder is in the non-occluding position.04-02-2009
20090205493Method of removing water from an inlet region of an oxygen generating system - A method of removing water from an inlet region of an oxygen generating system is disclosed herein. The method includes condensing, in an inlet region of the oxygen generating system, at least a portion of water vapor from a feed gas to water, and removing the water from the oxygen generating system prior to introducing the then-at least partially dehumidified feed gas to at least one sieve bed operatively disposed in the oxygen generating system.08-20-2009
20090211438Method of determining the purity of oxygen present in an oxygen-enriched gas produced from an oxygen delivery system - A method of determining the purity of oxygen present in an oxygen-enriched gas produced from an oxygen delivery system is disclosed. The oxygen delivery system includes at least one sieve bed having a nitrogen-adsorbing material disposed therein and configured to adsorb nitrogen from a feed gas introduced into the at least two sieve beds via a pressure-swing adsorption cycle. The method includes determining a quantity of nitrogen adsorbed by the nitrogen-adsorbing material by inferring an effective volume of the at least one sieve bed based on a pressure change of the at least one sieve bed.08-27-2009
20090214370DAMPING APPARATUS FOR SCROLL COMPRESSORS FOR OXYGEN-GENERATING SYSTEMS - A radially compliant scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll operatively connected to the fixed scroll, a synchronizer and at least one linkage member operatively connected to the orbiting scroll and the synchronizer. The at least one linkage member includes an orbiting crank handle operatively disposed on the linkage member, a crankpin operatively disposed through said synchronizer and extending into the crank handle and a damping member disposed on the crankpin between the synchronizer and the crank handle.08-27-2009
20090240160Infant monitoring system - An infant monitoring system according to embodiment(s) of the present disclosure includes a positioning member having a top surface, side surface, and tension strip, and an accelerometer in operative communication with the positioning member. The top surface, which may operatively contact an infant, receives and transmits infant cardiac impulses exerted on the top surface. The side surface, operatively connected to the accelerometer, has an initial angular orientation with respect to the top surface. The side surface receives the transmitted cardiac impulses and resolves a heart rate therefrom. The strip, having a substantially low bending stiffness and substantially high tension stiffness, is operatively connected to the top surface and bends longitudinally in response to infant inhalation forces exerted on the top surface. The bending causes angular deflections of the side surface with respect to the initial angular orientation. The accelerometer detects the angular deflections and resolves therefrom a respiration rate.09-24-2009
