20100051834BRIGHT FIELD AND DARK FIELD CHANNELS, USED FOR AUTOMOTIVE GLASS INSPECTION SYSTEMS - An inspection system for inspecting a sheet of glass comprises an illumination module, a collimating lens system, a telecentric imaging lens system and a Time Delay Integration line-scan camera. The illumination module has a low coherence light source emitting light. The collimating lens system has a focal point on the main axis thereof on which focal point its light source is located. The collimating lens system produces a collimated sheet of light from the emitted light. This collimated sheet of light passes through the sheet of glass. The telecentric imaging lens system concentrates the sheet of light passed through the sheet of glass on an image formation plane. The Time Delay Integration line-scan camera is positioned in a general area of the image formation plane. The camera is equipped with an antiblooming device. In another embodiment, an inspection system for inspecting a sheet of glass comprises a camera and a peripheral RDF illumination module. The camera is positioned on and points toward a first side of the sheet of glass. The peripheral RDF illumination module surrounds the camera and side, outside a field of view of the camera. The RDF illumination module is operative to illuminate the field of view with its RDF emitted light. The RDF illumination module is oriented so that the sheet of glass reflects the RDF emitted light away from the camera. The camera is positioned so as to be operative to receive the RDF emitted light if a RDF detectable defect is present on the sheet of glass and to avoid the RDF emitted light if no RDF detectable defect is present on the sheet of glass.03-04-2010

20090301210PRESSURE MEASURING TRANSDUCER - A dry, front-flush, pressure measuring transducer, which enables reliable measurements over a large temperature range. The transducer includes: a process connection made of a stainless steel and serving for securing the pressure measuring transducer to a measuring site; and a pressure sensor module, including a holder of stainless steel, into which a metal separating diaphragm is set front-flushly by means of a purely metal connection. A pressure to be measured acts on the separating diaphragm during measurement operation. The holder is set front-flushly by means of a purely metal connection into the process connection. The pressure sensor module further includes a titanium disk which is carried by the holder. A sapphire carrier with integrated silicon sensors is secured to the titanium disk. The titanium disk forms the separating diaphragm or it is physically connected with the separating diaphragm in such a manner that a deflection of the separating diaphragm effects a corresponding deflection of the titanium disk.12-10-2009

At least one characteristic curve is stored, which describes for at least one gas or a gas mixture at least the dependence of at least one characteristic variable of the mechanical oscillations of the mechanically oscillatable unit on pressure; at least the characteristic variable of the mechanical oscillations of the mechanically oscillatable unit is determined; the determined characteristic variable is compared with the stored characteristic curve; and, starting from the comparison of the determined characteristic variable with the stored characteristic curve, the measured variable of the medium is determined. Further, an apparatus for determining and/or monitoring the measured variable is envisioned.02-04-2010
20110226064APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING AND/OR MONITORING A PROCESS VARIABLE - An apparatus for determining and/or monitoring a process variable. The apparatus includes a housing, a mechanically oscillatable unit, and a transducer unit, which is arranged and clamped between two housing elements in such a manner that a predeterminable pressure acts on the transducer unit along an imaginary axis. An equalizing element is provided, whose coefficient of thermal expansion and/or height are/is selected in such a manner that a temperature-related expansion of the equalizing element during a temperature-related expansion of a housing element to be compensated leads to the pressure acting on the transducer unit being greater than or equal to a predeterminable prestress limit value.09-22-2011
20110265573APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING AND/OR MONITORING ( ) PRESSURE - An apparatus for determining and/or monitoring pressure. The apparatus comprises at least one pressure transducer, which transduces pressure into an electrical signal. The invention includes the features that at least one acoustic sensor is provided, that the acoustic sensor registers acoustic signals and transduces such into electrical signals, and that the acoustic sensor is mechanically and/or acoustically coupled with the pressure transducer.11-03-2011

20090010526TUNGSTEN PLUG DEPOSITION QUALITY EVALUATION METHOD BY EBACE TECHNOLOGY - A first embodiment of the invention relates to a method for evaluating the quality of structures on an integrated circuit wafer. Test structures formed on either on the integrated or on a test wafer are exposed to an electron beam and an electron-beam activated chemical etch. The electron-beam activated etching gas or vapor etches the test structures, which are analyzed after etching to determine a measure of quality of the test structures. The measure of quality may be used in a statistical process control to adjust the parameters used to form device structures on the integrated circuit wafer. The test structures are formed on an integrated circuit wafer having two or more die. Each die has one or more integrated circuit structures. The test structures are formed on scribe lines between two or more adjacent die. Each test structure may correspond in dimensions and/or composition to one or more of the integrated circuit structures.01-08-2009
20110031113ELECTROPLATING APPARATUS - Embodiments of the invention contemplate the formation of a low cost solar cell using a novel high speed electroplating method and apparatus to form a metal contact structure having selectively formed metal lines using an electrochemical plating process. The apparatus and methods described herein remove the need to perform one or more high temperature screen printing processes to form conductive features on the surface of a solar cell substrate. The resistance of interconnects formed in a solar cell device greatly affects the efficiency of the solar cell. It is thus desirable to form a solar cell device that has a low resistance connection that is reliable and cost effective. Therefore, one or more embodiments of the invention described herein are adapted to form a low cost and reliable interconnecting layer using an electrochemical plating process containing a common metal, such as copper.02-10-2011
