20080228155Colostomy bag - A colostomy bag provided with a stoma ring, a gas outlet and an external deodorizing filter in which a vertical baffle is provided intermediate the stoma ring and the gas outlet and extending from the upper marginal wall of the bag and a level slightly below the lowest point of the stoma ring. The baffle is designed to prevent feces from being squeezed sideways and upwardly into the gas outlet and clogging it.09-18-2008

20100204867COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD - A collision avoidance system for use with an unmanned vehicle, the system includes a plurality of radar elements arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the unmanned vehicle, wherein the radar elements transmit a plurality of pulses about the vehicle and receive a plurality of return signals from one or more objects within the range of the vehicle. Upon detecting the one or more objects within range of the vehicle, the system determines if an object is on a course which requires evasive action and suitably alters the vehicle's course in order to avoid collision.08-12-2010

20090033556SYNTHETIC APERTURE PERIMETER ARRAY RADAR - A perimeter antenna array for a radar, in particular a slope monitoring radar, formed from a pair of parallel linear arrays of receiver elements and a pair of parallel linear arrays of receiver elements, together forming a rectangle of receiver and transmitter elements. Signals are switched to the transmitter elements and received by the receiving elements. The signals are processed to obtain signals for virtual elements located equidistant between transmitting and receiving elements. The signals from the virtual elements are analysed to produce a radar image.02-05-2009

20110279669APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING VERTICAL TAKEOFF VEHICLES - According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a radar altimeter which utilizes a downward looking MIMO phased array to form multiple beams, covering a relatively wide sector, e.g., +/−60 degrees or thereabouts. The distance to the ground is then measured in each beam allowing the ground profile to be formed. The beams may be tilted forward to cover from about +90 degrees forward (horizontal) to about 30 degrees behind nadir. The provision of such a forward tilt gives a greater degree of coverage in the direction of approach vector to the ground. This additional cover enables the altimeter to more accurately detect other vehicles in the proximity to the current approach vector of the vehicle to the desired landing zone.11-17-2011

20100220001IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD - A radar imaging system for capturing an image of an object within an area of interest through at least one visual impairment. The radar imaging system comprises at least one radar array. The radar array includes a plurality of transmitter elements and a plurality of receiver elements for receiving a plurality of coded return signals from an object through the at least one visual impairment. The system further comprises at least one processor coupled to the transmitter and receiver elements, which is adapted to transmit a plurality of differently coded signals toward the object and the at least one visual impairment; decode the plurality of coded return signals received by each of the receiver elements; extract from the decoded return signals a multiplicity of captured signals for each transmitter to receiver path; focus the multiplicity of signals on all points of interest within the area of interest by aligning the multiplicity of captured signals to be co-incident from a particular point within the area of interest; and sum the aligned signals to produce an image of the object. A method for capturing an image of an object in an area of interest through at least one visual impairment is also provided.09-02-2010
