20110196692APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GRID STORAGE - A system and method of grid storage to provide various possible services upon request or otherwise. The system may involve a plurality of fleet vehicle or other vehicles with an electric drive train and some form of energy storage, such as batteries. The vehicles are aggregated in a common location while connected to the grid and the system has control over and otherwise manages the collection of storage assets to provide the service. Further, a third party system may control and otherwise own the battery resources. In such an arrangement, the third party system may receive remuneration from a utility or the like for provision of the requested service and the third party system may also receive remuneration from the vehicle owner for use of the battery system.08-11-2011

20110001055RADIATION DETECTION SYSTEM - A preamplifier circuit for processing a signal provided by a radiation detector includes a transimpedance amplifier coupled to receive a current signal from a detector and generate a voltage signal at its output. A second amplification stage has an input coupled to an output of the transimpedance amplifier for providing an amplified voltage signal. Detector electronics include a preamplifier circuit having a first and second transimpedance amplifier coupled to receive a current signal from a first and second location on a detector, respectively, and generate a first and second voltage signal at respective outputs. A second amplification stage has an input coupled to an output of the transimpedance amplifiers for amplifying the first and said second voltage signals to provide first and second amplified voltage signals. A differential output stage is coupled to the second amplification stage for receiving the first and second amplified voltage signals and providing a pair of outputs from each of the first and second amplified voltage signals. Read out circuitry has an input coupled to receive both of the pair of outputs, the read out circuitry having structure for processing each of the pair of outputs, and providing a single digital output having a time-stamp therefrom.01-06-2011

20090247970ENCLOSURE VENTILATION FILTER AND ASSEMBLY METHOD - A filter assembly for an enclosure, particularly for an ostomy bag, is described having an enclosure side, a first layer which is gas permeable, and an adsorbent layer comprising adsorbent particles dispersed in a fine fiber web. The enclosure side of the filter assembly includes an adhesive zone in which adhesive is present having an outer adhesive perimeter and a weld area surrounding at least a portion of the adhesive zone, where the filter assembly is heat-sealable to the enclosure at the weld area. A method of assembly is also described.10-01-2009
20090320979Hearing Aid Microphone Cover - The present invention relates to hearing aid microphone covers and methods of manufacturing the same. In an embodiment, the invention includes a microphone cover for a hearing aid including a frame defining one or more exterior apertures and one or more media apertures, and a filtration media attached to the frame, the filtration media configured to completely occlude the one or more exterior apertures. In an embodiment, the invention includes a method of forming a microphone cover for a hearing aid including placing oleophobic and hydrophobic filtration media within a mold and forming a polymeric frame around the filtration media by injecting a polymer composition into the mold.12-31-2009
20100218595PARTICULATE FILTER AND METHOD OF USE - A particulate filter particularly suited for analytical gravimetric weighing applications is disclosed. The particulate filter includes a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) media supported by a ring and yields stable microgram and submicrogram weighing results. The support ring may be PTFE, metal foil, or another non-hygroscopic polymer such that the mass of the filter does not vary with changes in atmospheric moisture. The filter simplifies the discharge of electrostatic charge buildup such that when a conductive filter media is combined with a conductive ring device, the discharge may be accomplished by placing the filter on a grounded weighing pan or other surface. The particulate filter can simplify filter identification by including identification symbols imprinted on each side of the filter media. Due to the chemically inert qualities of its components, the particulate filter is particularly suited for extraction techniques used during the detection of polycyclic hydrocarbons as is conducted in emissions and ambient air testing.09-02-2010
