VIDEO SIGNAL MOTION DETECTION - Systems and methods directed to determining motion in a video signal are provided. A plurality of pixels of a plurality of adjacent field lines of alternating parity of the video signal are evaluated to generate a plurality of differential values. A sign of each differential value is determined, and when each differential value has the same sign, at least one differential value can be compared with a threshold value. Responsive to the comparison of at least one differential value with a threshold value, a motion coefficient indicative of a magnitude of motion associated with one of the plurality of pixels can be generated. | 07-30-2009

INTRODUCING A FORM INSTANCE INTO AN INFORMATION CONTAINER - Some embodiments of the invention relate to a system and a method of enabling introduction of a form instance into an information container. According to some embodiments of the invention, a system for enabling introduction of a form instance into an information container may include a form provisioning module and a host application interaction module. The form provisioning module may be configured for providing a form template from amongst a plurality of form templates, each one of the form templates may include one or more data fields and at least one of the data fields may include metadata and an editable value. The host application interaction module may be configured to interact with an information manipulation environment that is associated with the information container, to thereby invoke within the information container a form instance that is based upon one of the plurality of form templates, and to thereby enable editing of at least one value of one field of the form instance. The host application interaction module may be further adapted to store within an embedded storage layer of the information container data corresponding to one or more fields of the form instance, in a manner to enable access to the fields autonomously through the information container. According to some embodiments of the invention, the system may include a form data publisher. The form data publisher may be adapted to publish data corresponding to one or more fields of the form instance for provisioning storage thereof on a remote storage component. According to further embodiments of the invention, the data associated with the form instance within each of the embedded storage areas and the remote storage components may exist autonomously of one another. | 05-12-2011

COMPARING VERSIONS OF A HIERARCHICAL OBJECT - A hierarchical object is exported from a first electronic system to a second electronic system, where the hierarchical object is modifiable at each of the first and second electronic systems, and where a baseline version of the hierarchical object is created. A first version of the hierarchical object at the first electronic system is compared against the baseline version, to form a first data structure identifying any changes between the first version of the hierarchical object and the baseline version. A second data structure is received identifying changes between a second version of the hierarchical object at the second electronic system and the baseline version. A visualization based on the first and second data structures is provided. | 01-20-2011

REGISTRATION OF CT VOLUMES WITH FLUOROSCOPIC IMAGES - A method for registering images of multiple modalities includes acquiring first image of a subject using a first modality. A second image of the subject is acquired using a second modality. The first image includes greater structural detail of the subject than the second image and the second image is a video image including multiple image frames. The first and second images are registered based on an anatomical structure observable in the first image and a foreign object proximate to the anatomical structure observable in the second image. | 09-11-2008
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TWO-DIMENSIONAL VISUALIZATION OF TEMPORAL PHENOMENA AND THREE DIMENSIONAL VESSEL RECONSTRUCTION - A method for visualizing temporal phenomena and constructing 3D views from a series of medical images includes providing a first time series of digital images of contrast-enhanced blood flow in a patient, each acquired from a same viewing point with a known epipolar geometry, each said image comprising a plurality of intensities associated with an N-dimensional grid of points, calculating one or more time-density curves from said first time series of digital images, each curve indicative of how the intensity at corresponding points in successive images changes over time, and generating one or more overview images from said time density curves using a color coding technique, wherein said each overview image depict how a physical property value changes from said blood flow at selected corresponding points in said first time series of images. | 01-15-2009

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VIEW-DEPENDENT ANATOMIC SURFACE VISUALIZATION - A method for simultaneous visualization of the outside and the inside of a surface model at a selected view orientation includes receiving a digitized representation of a surface of a segmented object, where the surface representation comprises a plurality of points, receiving a selection of a viewing direction for rendering the object, calculating an inner product image be calculating an inner product {right arrow over (n)} | 04-07-2011
VISUALIZATION OF SCARING ON CARDIAC SURFACE - A method for imaging a myocardial surface includes receiving an image volume. A myocardial surface is segmented within the received image volume. A polygon mesh of the segmented myocardial surface is extracted. A surface texture is calculated from voxel information taken along a path normal to the surface of the myocardium. A view of the myocardial surface is rendered using the calculated surface texture. | 04-21-2011
THREE-DIMENSIONAL ESOPHAGEAL RECONSTRUCTION - A method for three-dimensional esophageal reconstruction includes acquiring a first X-ray image from a first angle with respect to a subject using a first X-ray imager. At least a second X-ray image is acquired from a second angle, different than the first angle, with respect to the subject using a second X-ray imager. Additional X-ray images may be acquired from additional angle. A three-dimensional model of the esophagus is generated from the at least two X-ray images acquired at different angles. A set of fluoroscopic X-ray images is acquired using either the first X-ray imager or the second X-ray imager. The three-dimensional model of the esophagus is registered to the acquired set of fluoroscopic X-ray images. The three-dimensional model of the esophagus is displayed overlaying the set of fluoroscopic X-ray images. | 04-21-2011
