20110058609 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBJECT BASED PARAMETRIC VIDEO CODING - A video compression framework based on parametric object and background compression is proposed. At the encoder, an embodiment detects objects and segments frames into regions corresponding to the foreground object and the background. The object and the background are individually encoded using separate parametric coding techniques. While the object is encoded using the projection of coefficients to the orthonormal basis of the learnt subspace (used for appearance based object tracking), the background is characterized using an auto-regressive (AR) process model. An advantage of the proposed schemes is that the decoder structure allows for simultaneous reconstruction of object and background, thus making it amenable to the new multi-thread/multi-processor architectures. | 03-10-2011 |

20120179220 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETERMINING IF AN ARRHYTHMIA INITIATED IN AN ATRIUM OR A VENTRICLE - Validated atrial and/or ventricular interval decreases are used to discriminate between VT and SVT. Atrial and/or ventricular intervals are monitored in order to detect decreases in such intervals (which are indicative in increases in rate). The atrial intervals can be, e.g., AA intervals, and the ventricular intervals can be, e.g., VV intervals. A detected atrial and/or ventricular interval decrease can be a decrease that is greater than an interval decrease threshold. Detected atrial and/or ventricular interval decreases can be validated by examining atrial and/or ventricular intervals before and after a detected atrial and/or ventricular interval decrease. The use of the validated atrial and/or ventricular interval decreases to classify an arrhythmia as SVT or VT can be called arrhythmia initiation analysis, since it is believed to determine whether the initiation of the arrhythmia is in an atrium or a ventricle. | 07-12-2012 |

20110137970 | MODE-BASED MULTIPLY-ADD RECODING FOR DENORMAL OPERANDS - In a denormal support mode, the normalization circuit of a floating-point adder is used to normalize or denormalized the output of a floating-point multiplier. Each floating-point multiply instruction is speculatively converted to a multiply-add instruction, with the addend forced to zero. This preserves the value of the product, while normalizing or denormalizing the product using the floating-point adder's normalization circuit. When the operands to the multiply operation are available, they are inspected. If the operands will not generate an unnormal intermediate product or a denormal final product, the add operation is suppressed, such as by operand-forwarding. Additionally, each non-fused floating-point multiply-add instruction is replaced with a multiply-add instruction having a zero addend, and a floating-point add instruction having the addend of the original multiply-add instruction is inserted into the instruction stream. Upon inspection of the operands, if an unnormal intermediate result or a denormal final result will not occur, the addend may be restored to the multiply-add instruction and the add instruction converted to a NOP. | 06-09-2011 |
20130218938 | FLOATING-POINT ADDER WITH OPERAND SHIFTING BASED ON A PREDICTED EXPONENT DIFFERENCE - Provided are a floating-point adder and methods for implementing a floating-point adder with operand shifting based on a predicted exponent difference when performing an effective subtraction on normal or subnormal numbers. In an aspect, two least significant bits (LSBs) of a first floating-point operand's exponent are compared with two LSBs of a second floating-point operand's exponent to estimate a difference between the two exponents. A first shift of up to one of the first and the second operands is performed, based on the estimated difference. A prospective result is then produced by subtracting the first operand and the second operand. Contemporaneously, one of the first operand's exponent and the second operand's exponent is subtracted from the other of the first operand's exponent and the second operand's exponent to determine if the exponents actually differ by one or less. If the first operand's exponent and the second operand's exponent differ by one or less, the prospective result is provided as the raw difference of the operands. | 08-22-2013 |

20140143270 | GENERATING DYNAMIC DRILLDOWN REPORTS - Various embodiments of systems and methods for generating dynamic drilldown reports are described herein. A drilldown request may be received for a data value included in the drilldown report. An attribute of the data value, for which the drilldown request has been received, may then be identified. Associated attributes corresponding to the identified attribute may then be determined from an in-memory database attribute relationship table stored in the in-memory database. Next, database tables may be searched, based on the data value included in the drilldown report, to retrieve data values corresponding to the associated attributes. A child drilled report may be generated based on the data values retrieved from the database tables. | 05-22-2014 |

20140279304 | Method, System and Program Product for Matching of Transaction Records - A method, system and program product comprise accessing a transaction records database. Unmatched records are collected into a first set. The first set at least comprises events and transactions. Probabilities of event matches of transactions originating from an event are calculated. The calculating uses at least defined features and stored probability distributions. A quality value for each of the event matches is calculated. The quality value is at least in part being determined by the probability of the event match. A second set of optimized event matches is determined using at least the quality values. Each of the optimized event matches at least comprises transactions deemed to have been generated by the event. | 09-18-2014 |
