20100272338METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CROSS-MODALITY CASE-BASED COMPUTER-AIDED DIAGNOSIS - A system and method for cross-modality case-based computer-aided diagnosis comprises storing a plurality of cases, each case including at least one image of one of a plurality of modalities and non-image information, mapping a feature relationship between a feature from images of a first modality to a feature from images of a second modality, and storing the relationship.10-28-2010
20100281037METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CASE-BASED DECISION SUPPORT - This invention relates to a method and device for case-based decision support. It proposes that a case-based decision support system is trained on inputs from several radiologists in order to have a “baseline” system, and then the system provides an option to a radiologist to refine the baseline system based on his/her inputs which either refine weights of features for similarity distance computation directly or provide new similarity ground truth clusters. By enabling modifying the similarity distance computation based on user inputs, this invention adapts similarity ground truth to different users with different experience and/or different opinions.11-04-2010
20100332250PRE-EXAMINATION MEDICAL DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM - A pre-examination patient information gathering system comprises an electronic user interface (12-30-2010
20110022622METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REFINING SIMILAR CASE SEARCH - The invention relates to search for cases in a database. According to the proposed method and apparatus, similarity matching is performed between an input case and a set of cases in an initial search to receive similar cases by—using a given matching criterion. Then statistics on image and non-image-based features associated with the similar cases are calculated and presented to the user with the similar cases. In a search refinement the similar cases are refined by additional features that are determined by the user based on the statistics. The search refinement can be iterative depending on the user's need.01-27-2011

20090041356Method and Device for Automatic Generation of Summary of a Plurality of Images - Method and device for providing a summary of a plurality of images, e.g. a video sequence. The method includes dividing the video sequence into a plurality of segments. The segments are analyzed with respect to content and a set of content descriptors are associated to the segments. Preferably, additional textual information about the segments, screenplay etc., is used to determine the content descriptors. A graph representing relations between the segments is constructed indicating relations between segments. Weights are associated to the relations so as to represent a measure of relation, e.g. a logical correlation, between segments. The weights are based on the calculated content descriptors. A relevance measure for a segment is determined based on all weights associated with relations to said segment. Finally, a summary is generated by selecting the most relevant segments. The method can create an automatic summary of a film that preserves all the logical plot of the original but is shorter in duration (e.g. 02-12-2009

20090132510DEVICE FOR ENABLING TO REPRESENT CONTENT ITEMS THROUGH META SUMMARY DATA, AND METHOD THEREOF - The invention relates to a method of enabling to represent content items, the method comprising a step of obtaining a plurality of content item summary data of a respective one of the content items. The invention also relates to a device (05-21-2009
20090138432CLINICIAN-DRIVEN EXAMPLE-BASED COMPUTER-AIDED DIAGNOSIS - Optimizing example-based computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) is accomplished by clustering volumes-of-interest (VOIs) (05-28-2009

20100008554METHOD TO AUTOMATICALLY DECODE MICROARRAY IMAGES - A method of automatically identifying the microarray chip corners and probes, even if there are no probes at the corners, in a high density and high resolution microarray scanned image having an image space, wherein the method minimizes the error distortions in the image arising in the scanning process by applying to the image a multipass corner finding algorithm comprising: (a) applying a Radon transform to an input microarray image to project the image into an angle and distance space where it is possible to find the orientation of the straight lines; (b) applying a fast Fourier transform to the projected image of (a) to find the optimal tilting angle of the projected image; (c) determining the optimal first and last local maxima for the optimal tilting angle; (d) back projecting the determined first and last local maxima to the image space to find the first approximation of the first and last column lines of the image; (e) rotating the image and repeating steps (a) through (d) to find the first approximation of the top and bottom row lines of the image; (f) determining the first approximation of the four corners of the image from the intersection of the column and row lines; (g) applying a heuristic for determining if the first approximation of step (f) is sufficient; and (h) optionally trimming the scanned image around the first approximation of the four corners and repeating steps (a) through (f).01-14-2010
20110142301ADVANCED COMPUTER-AIDED DIAGNOSIS OF LUNG NODULES - Methods are herein provided for decision support in diagnosis of a disease in a subject, and for extracting features from a multi-slice data set. Systems for computer-aided diagnosis are provided. The systems take as input a plurality of medical data and produces as output a diagnosis based upon this data. The inputs may consist of a combination of image data and clinical data. Diagnosis is performed through feature selection and the use of one or more classifier algorithms.06-16-2011

20080221942Automatic Generation of Trailers Containing Product Placements - This invention relates to a method and computer system for automatic generation of trailers. More specifically it relates to a method for generating revenues from providers of content data. The method generally comprises the steps of finding product placement data in a super set of data. When these product placements have been found they are preferably matched with a user profile and segments, of the superset comprising these product placements with a positive match, are selected and merged into a subset of data. A counter may keep track of which product placement that has been chosen and how many times a product placement has been chosen and viewed. Based on the value of the counter an invoice is created.09-11-2008
20090055746MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION CREATION - The present invention enables combining personal media content and additional content with the purpose of generating a more appealing and engaging experience to the user when being presented the personal media content. The invention therefore relates to a method and a device for generating a multimedia presentation, comprising obtaining a user selection of a first media file (step 02-26-2009
