20120079876MICROTENSIOMETER SENSOR, PROBE AND METHOD OF USE - A microtensiometer sensor includes a substrate layer fluidly coupled to an enclosed reservoir. A porous membrane is disposed on a surface of the substrate layer. The membrane defines a liquid side fluidly coupled to the reservoir and a vapor side fluidly coupled to a vapor interface. The porous membrane includes a plurality of through holes fluidly coupling the liquid reservoir to the vapor interface, and a nanoporous filler material disposed within the plurality of through holes. The filler material includes a plurality of open pores having a maximum diameter in the range of 0.2 to 200 nanometers. In one embodiment, the microtensiometer sensor includes a molecular membrane disposed adjacent to the vapor side of the porous membrane. In one example, the molecular membrane is formed of a highly crystalline polytetrafluoroethylene polymer having a microstructure characterized by nodes interconnected by fibrils. In one application, the microtensiometer sensor may be used in a probe to measure the average water potential within a network of plant or tree xylem. In another application, the microtensiometer sensor may be useful in real-time determination of the water potential in soil.04-05-2012

20090048572METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF DIAPER PANTS - A method of production of disposable diaper pants or disposable sanitary panty with openable and resealable side panels. A row of absorption bodies is applied on a continuous web of inner or outer cover sheet material, after which a continuous web of outer or inner cover sheet material is applied and secured to the web with absorption bodies at parts lying outside the absorption bodies to form a web of diaper pants blanks. First side panels having two parts connected by a detachable and resealable connection are secured to the diaper pants blanks at a side of a front or rear portion. Second separate side panels are secured to the side portions of the front or rear portions of the diaper pants blanks which to not have side panels. Individual diaper pants blanks with side panels are cut out, folded along a transverse axis in the crotch, and secured.02-19-2009
20090208703ELASTIC LAMINATE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELASTIC LAMINATE - A method for producing an elastically stretchable laminate having at least three layers, the method including the steps of: a) producing a first laminate having a first non-elastic fibrous nonwoven web and an elastic film; b) activating the first laminate by incremental stretching in at least one activation direction to render the first laminate elastically stretchable; c) stretching the activated first laminate to 10-200% in the activation direction; and d) laminating the stretched first laminate to a second non-elastic nonwoven web. An elastically stretchable laminate produced in accordance with the method is also disclosed.08-20-2009
20090326503PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLES - A method for producing pant-type absorbent articles, each article including a chassis structure having at least one elastic panel and an integrated absorbent core component, the method including a continuous pant-forming process including forming the chassis structure and incorporating the absorbent core component into the chassis structure. The at least one elastic panel is formed by a) separately producing a two-layer laminate having a first non-elastic fibrous nonwoven web and an elastic film, b) activating the two-layer laminate by incremental stretching in at least one activation direction to render the two-layer laminate (elastically stretchable, c) stretching the activated two-layer laminate by 35-200% in the activation direction, d) introducing the two-layer laminate in the pant-forming process, and e) laminating the elastic film of the stretched two-layer laminate to an elastic or nonwoven chassis component. An absorbent pant-type article produced in accordance with the method.12-31-2009
20100217218BELTED ABSORBENT GARMENT - Absorbent garment such as a diaper and an incontinence guard, said garment comprises a first body panel (08-26-2010
20100262110METHOD OF PRODUCING AN ABSORBENT GARMENT, AND AN ABSORBENT GARMENT PRODUCED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD - A method for continuously producing absorbent garments includes forming a continuous multi-component production web; and cutting individual garments from the production web. The production web is formed by: a) feeding a first elastic web in a travelling direction; b) stretching the first elastic web by 35-250% in the travelling direction; c) intermittently laying down absorbent cores in an intermediate zone extending in a travelling direction of the production web; d) feeding a continuous web of liquid permeable material in the travelling direction and covering the absorbent cores with the continuous web of liquid permeable material; and e) bonding the first elastic web to the continuous web of liquid permeable material in a first lateral zone on a side of the intermediate zone of the production web. In addition, an absorbent garment has a continuous liquid permeable layer.10-14-2010
20100298798PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLES - The invention concerns a method for producing pant-type absorbent articles each article (11-25-2010
20110257616WRAPPER FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE - A wrapper for an absorbent hygiene article including a sheet of flexible wrapping material. The sheet has a first surface arranged to face the absorbent article and a second surface arranged to be facing away from the absorbent article. The wrapper has at least a portion that is stretchable in at least one direction and has a polymeric coating applied to at least the first or the second surface. The polymeric coating contains an odor control agent. The odor control agent has a first non-active state when the wrapper is in a non-stretched state and a second active state when the wrapper is in a stretched state.10-20-2011

20090232145INTERNET/INTRANET ACCESS MECHANISM - A method connects one of several customer premises equipment (CPE) via an ATM network to one of several service providers (SP). Each CPE is connected to the ATM network via a corresponding network termination point (NT). There is an access server function (ASF), having a permanent virtual connection (PVC) to each NT and a connection to each SP. A tunneling protocol is established on the permanent virtual connection between each NT and the ASF. The tunneling protocol is able to support an integrated signaling protocol. The CPE or its user select selects an appropriate SP by using the integrated signaling protocol. Routing from the CPE to the selected SP is performed by the ASF. The ASF connects the CPE to the selected SP using the integrated signaling protocol.09-17-2009
