N-Channel Multiplexer - A radio frequency (RF) channelizer includes a first four-port balun, a second four part balun and a pair of filters coupled between the first and second four port baluns. The filters operate such that RF signals having a frequency within a desired frequency band (so-called “in-band” signals) can propagate between the first and second baluns (e.g. from the first balun to the second balun) while signals having a frequency outside the desired frequency band (so-called “out-of-band signals”) are reflected back to the first balun. One filter reflects out-of-band signals while maintaining the magnitude and phase of the signal (i.e. with a 0 degree phase shift), while the other filter reflects out-of-band signals with a phase-reversal (i.e. with a 180 degree phase shift). With this approach, the reflected signals propagate to a sum port (or even mode port) of the first balun. In this way, the balun-filter combination results in a channelizer which separates signals into different frequency bands. | 04-01-2010

User Interface Control Using a Keyboard - User interface control using a keyboard is described. In an embodiment, a user interface displayed on a display device is controlled using a computer connected to a keyboard. The keyboard has a plurality of alphanumeric keys that can be used for text entry. The computer receives data comprising a sequence of key-presses from the keyboard, and generates for each key-press a physical location on the keyboard. The relative physical locations of the key-presses are compared to calculate a movement path over the keyboard. The movement path describes the path of a user's digit over the keyboard. The movement path is mapped to a sequence of coordinates in the user interface, and the movement of an object displayed in the user interface is controlled in accordance with the sequence of coordinates. | 09-01-2011

Data Flow Control - There is disclosed a method and controller for controlling an information flow in a data transmission system. In one embodiment, the method and controller receives a plurality of data packets. The method and controller further generate a modified information flow by providing a variable spacing between the data packets that is exponentially distributed. The variable spacing between the data packets may be random or pseudo-random. | 08-12-2010

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING PRINT JOB IN PRINTING PLATFORM - A method for processing a print job includes: a) processing printer description language (PDL) image data for a select page of a print job to form raster image data for the select page, processing of the PDL image data and storing the raster image data in a RIP orientation; b) processing the raster image data for the select page to form bitmap image data for the select page, transforming the raster image data from the RIP orientation to a print orientation and storing the bitmap image data in the print orientation; and c) printing the bitmap image data arranged in the print orientation on a target substrate page to form a printed substrate page for the select page of the print job. A printing platform associated with the method includes a storage device, a RIP module, a rotator module, and a print engine. | 03-29-2012
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING PRINT JOB IN PRINTING PLATFORM - A method for processing a print job includes: a) analyzing printer description language (PDL) image data for a print job; b) determining a raster image processor (RIP) orientation for the print job based at least in part on the analysis of the PDL image data, the RIP orientation being selected from a landscape orientation and a portrait orientation; and c) processing the PDL image data for each page of the print job to form raster image data for each page in the RIP orientation and storing the raster image data in the RIP orientation. A printing platform associated with the method includes a parser module, a controller module, a storage device, and a RIP module. | 03-29-2012

Decorative System Composite And Method - Decorative system composites and methods for forming the same are described. The composites employ new and improved support film systems that have enhanced tensile strength under typical thermoforming conditions, including elevated temperatures. An optional release film can be used in conjunction with the support film. The support film is particularly suitable for use with decorative films used to impart a surface effect, such as paint or color-containing film systems, to a thermoformed plastic component. The support film systems also possess enhanced bag/sag/drape control characteristics. | 10-30-2008
