20100142213Methods And Apparatus For Enhancing Portable Worklight Features - Portable worklight assemblies and mounting systems for worklight heads are provided. The worklight assemblies allow for greater adjustability of individual portable worklight heads along all three axis. The worklight assemblies also provide configurations that allow for the removal of a single portable worklight head from a dual-head worklight assembly. The mounting system also provides for additional power consumption needs by providing electrical receptacles that are incorporated into worklight stands or tripod-style stands used in conjunction with worklights. Providing extra receptacles and/or allowing for the removal of individual worklights based on specific positioning needs reduces the amount of equipment needed, thereby reducing clutter and increasing safety in the work area.06-10-2010

20100182782Light Emitting Diode Troffer - A troffer-style luminaire includes first and second side ends and a top end extending between the side ends. The side and top ends define an interior region. Light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) are coupled along interior surfaces of the side ends, within the interior region. At least some of the LEDs are coupled to the interior surfaces by being wedged between members protruding into the interior region from the interior or other surfaces. In addition, or in the alternative, one or more spring clips can apply a force that holds the LEDs against the interior surfaces. A reflector extends between the LEDs and the top member and reflects light from the LEDs towards a bottom end of the frame. The light emitted by the LEDs is directed to the reflector and then indirectly emitted through the bottom end, into a desired environment.07-22-2010
20100208460LUMINAIRE WITH LED ILLUMINATION CORE - A luminaire includes a housing, at least one core member coupled to the housing, at least one LED positioned on the core member, and at least one heat sink thermally coupled to the LEDs. The core member includes a first end, a second end, and a body extending from the first end to the second end. The body's outer surface includes one or more receiving surfaces spaced apart and operable to receive one or more LEDs. LEDs can be added, removed, or repositioned on the receiving surfaces to change the light distribution. The cooling system includes either an integral heat sink, an external heat sink, or both. The core member is designed to increase lighting efficiency by directing more light away from a direction opposite the intended area of illumination.08-19-2010
20100300721Stackable Power Distribution Box - The power box can be stacked while limiting horizontal translation. The power box includes an electrical component box, a cover for the electrical component box, and a support assembly. The support assembly has feet that raise the electrical component box off of the ground. The cover includes one or more raised projections that restrict the horizontal translation of a power box positioned thereon, by dimensioning the projections apart by a distance slightly greater than an exterior width of the support assembly of the power box that rests upon the cover. Horizontal translation is further limited by dimensioning the feet such that, when placed on top of another power box, the interior dimension between two feet is slighting greater than the dimension of the cover. So, when the top power box attempts to slide, the feet of the top power box contact the cover of the bottom power box.12-02-2010
20110286207Linear LED Light Module - A linear light emitting diode (“LED”) light fixture includes LED modules that interface with one another to provide a substantially continuous array of LED's. This continuous array allows for substantially uniform light output from the LED light fixture. The LED modules can interface with one another via one or more connectors, which allow two or more LED modules to be electrically and mechanically coupled together. The connectors may be disposed beneath the LED's so that the connectors are not visible when the LED modules are coupled together. The connectors may be disposed along opposite ends of the modules to allow for end-to-end configurations of the modules and/or along side ends of the modules to allow for angled or curved configurations of the modules. The LED modules can be powered via one or more wires, magnets, or clips, which are coupled to a power source.11-24-2011
20110310600Expandable LED Board Architecture - A light emitting diode (LED) module having a configurable LED substrate capable of receiving varying numbers and layouts of LEDs are described herein. The LED substrate includes LED coupling points for receiving the LEDs and electrical traces etched into the substrate for routing power to the LEDs. The LED module can include a multi-LED over-optic having multiple over-optics that are configured to match the number and configuration of the LEDs positioned on the substrate. The LED coupling points and over-optics can be arranged symmetrically to enable the LED module to be rotated to adjust the light output distribution and direction. The LED module can include a power connection mechanism, for example located at the center of the substrate, that also allows the LED module to be rotated. One or more of the LED modules may be mounted on a heat sink and incorporated into a light fixture.12-22-2011

The light emitted by the LEDs is directed to the reflector and then indirectly emitted through the bottom end, into a desired environment.01-05-2012
20120287644Reflectors and Reflector Attachments for Use with Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Light Sources - A reflector is rotatably coupled to a light emitting diode (LED) module assembly. The reflector includes multiple alignment features that correspond with multiple notches provided in a reflector attachment coupled to a LED light source. The reflector can be made of a non-conductive substrate material, such as glass, and can have a non-conductive, reflective coating deposited on the inner surface of the reflector to allow the reflector to be more closely positioned to the LED light source. Reflector attachments can help to maintain precise reflector position during coupling with the LED light source. Media holders can be removably coupled to the light emitting portion of the reflector and provide for the quick mounting and placement of one or more optical media in the light path output by the reflector.11-15-2012

20080223599Electrical Junction Box - An electrical junction box for securing an electrical device substantially behind the exterior of a building structure to protect it from rain and other elements includes a box-shaped housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, side walls, a back wall, a front opening, a front edge surrounding the front opening, and a cavity for receiving the electrical device therein. The housing includes a boss extending from the back wall into the cavity. The boss has a forward-facing surface configured to receive fasteners to attach the electrical device. The front of the electrical device is recessed within the cavity. The electrical junction box also includes a wall extending outwardly from the front edge of the front opening and configured to abut the exterior of a structure. The electrical junction box also includes a rotatably adjustable cover for closing access to the front opening of the box.09-18-2008
20090237924BEAM ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR AN LED LIGHT FIXTURE - A beam adjustment mechanism for a light fixture includes a frame assembly having an aperture substantially within the center thereof. Multiple peripheral lighting units engage the sides of the frame assembly. Each lighting unit includes an LED, a heat sink, and a reflector member. A central connecting member and/or a central lighting unit is at least partially surrounded by the peripheral lighting units. The central connecting member and/or central lighting unit is hingedly connected to at least one of the peripheral lighting units. An adjustment shaft extends through and is moveably engaged with the aperture of the frame assembly. Movement of the adjustment shaft relative to the aperture exerts a force on the central connecting member and/or central lighting unit, which causes the hingedly connected peripheral lighting units to pivot relative to the central connecting member and/or central lighting unit.09-24-2009
