20120112762Connector for a Safety Restraint System - The present invention relates to squib connectors for instance for airbag ignition systems, which allow the electrical or electronic monitoring of the correct coupling of a squib plug-connector with its corresponding counterpart. According to the invention, a squib connector has at least two terminals having corresponding signal lines. In order to allow an electrical monitoring of the correct coupling of the plug connector, the terminals are in electrical contact with each other in the uncoupled or incorrectly coupled condition of the plug connector. This electrical contact between the terminals is adapted for being separated upon correct coupling to a corresponding counter-connector either automatically or by an actuating action. The disconnecting of the terminals may then be monitored by any suitable monitoring means.05-10-2012

20110290446HEAT TRANSFER UNIT FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A heat transfer unit for an internal combustion engine includes a first channel with an inlet and an outlet. The first channel is configured to have a fluid to be cooled flow therethrough. The second channel is configured to have a cooling fluid flow therethrough. A partition wall(s) is disposed to separate the first channel from the second channel. Ribs extend from partition wall(s) into the second channel and are disposed in a principal flow direction of the fluid to be cooled. The second channel comprises a first section and a second section in the principal flow direction. The ribs of the first section have a first cross section in a first flow-off portion that is constant in the principal flow direction. The ribs of the second section have a second cross section in a second flow-off portion that widens in the principal flow direction.12-01-2011

20100143111COMPRESSOR STABILIZER - An annular circulation chamber is arranged in an interior of a compressor housing, which circulation chamber radially surrounds a main flow duct and extends from an intake region to an encircling circulation opening in a region of rotor blades of the compressor wheel. Between the circulation openings, the circulation chamber is delimited from the main flow duct by an annular contoured wall. The contoured wall is connected to the inner compressor housing by plural struts which are spaced apart from one another to different extents in the circumferential direction. As a result of the irregular distribution of the struts in the circumferential direction, generation of undesired vibration excitations can be reduced and/or eliminated.06-10-2010

20110287135NOVEL ARABINOHYDROLASES - The invention relates to enzymes, compositions, and methods for efficient hydrolysis of arabinans present in plant biomass. More specifically, the invention relates to arabinases and compositions comprising arabinases to improve cell wall degradation to efficiently use plant biomass for bio-energy production. The invention also relates to a method for preparing a prebiotic. The prebiotic may contain branched arabinan oligomers comprise α-(1,5)-linked arabinan backbone, and single substituted α-(1,3)-linked arabinose monomers attached to the backbone, or double substituted α-(1,2,3,5)-linked arabinose monomers attached to the backbone, or both. The invention also relates to a method for preparing fruit juice or wine. The invention also relates to a method for saccharification of a plant biomass. The invention also relates to a recombinant micro-organism genetically modified to express the enzymes of the present invention and optionally additional enzymes to achieve the disclosed methods.11-24-2011

20110264773SIMPLE AND DYNAMIC CONFIGURATION OF NETWORK DEVICES - The present invention relates to a system and method for configuring and managing network devices. The arrival (and departure) of devices on a network can be detected by a monitor. Upon detection, network devices can be simply and dynamically configured with little or no end-user intervention, for instance by automatically loading device drivers and allocating resources for the devices. Furthermore, network devices can be associated with other network devices such as a personal computer to facilitate seamless integration of network devices with a computer operating system.10-27-2011

20120072727MULTI-ISP CONTROLLED ACCESS TO IP NETWORKS, BASED ON THIRD-PARTY OPERATED UNTRUSTED ACCESS STATIONS - A mechanism that allows sharing of an existing infrastructure for access to public or private IP networks, such as the public Internet or private LANs is provided. Specifically, infrastructure owners lease the infrastructure resources on a short-term basis to different Internet Service Providers (ISPs). An ISP uses these resources to provide Internet services to subscribing customers or users. The ISP controls all aspects of the Internet service provided to the subscriber, including billing, bandwidth management, and e-mail. The ISP also ensures privacy for the subscriber by means of encryption. Leasing network resources from an existing network infrastructure frees the ISP from building an expensive access infrastructure itself while the infrastructure owner is given an opportunity to generate additional revenue from infrastructure. Importantly, neither the user, nor the ISP need to trust the access station (i.e.: the access station is untrusted) through which the access to the IP network is accomplished.03-22-2012

20090103481MAINTAINING MULTIPLE, SIMULTANEOUS WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTIONS USING A SINGLE RADIO - A method and apparatus for managing simultaneous virtual connections with multiple wireless networks. A plurality of ports in a hardware driver may be each associated with a corresponding wireless network and maintain a unique MAC state relative to other ports. Each port may have a corresponding virtual NIC that communicates directly with the radio hardware via a hardware virtualization layer that multiplexes communication between the virtual NICs and the radio hardware. Simultaneous virtual connections may be made with one or more infrastructure networks or adhoc networks, and/or the computer may function as an access point for one or more of the networks.04-23-2009

20100034405METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEARING DEVICE AS WELL AS A HEARING DEVICE - In order to switch between different hearing programs to adjust to a momentary acoustic surround situation, a method is provided to operate a hearing device as well as a hearing device. Signals, or parameters of a transfer function, are changed smoothly in order to form a smooth transition from a momentary to a desired value. Thereby, the advantage is obtained to eliminate undesired abrupt switching operation when a hearing program switching is necessary.02-11-2010
