20090150900WORKFLOW TASK RE-EVALUATION - An occurrence of a workflow re-evaluation event during execution of tasks in a workflow is identified. In response to the workflow re-evaluation event, it is determined for each task previously executed in the workflow whether such task needs to be executed again. Those tasks in the workflow for which it was determined that the corresponding task needs to be executed again are executed again, while the tasks in the workflow that were previously executed and for which it was not determined that the corresponding task needs to be executed again are skipped. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.06-11-2009
20090281777Workflow Modeling With Flexible Blocks - Disclosed is a method that includes providing tasks associated with a process, one or more of the tasks having a corresponding undetermined inter-dependency between the one or more of the tasks and other of the tasks, associating with the process one or more constraints specifying requirements regarding use of at least one of the tasks, the one or more constraints having corresponding graphical representations, and generating an instance of the process based on the one or more constraints to determine the corresponding undetermined inter-dependency between at least one of the one or more of the tasks and the other tasks.11-12-2009
20110029983SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DATA AWARE WORKFLOW CHANGE MANAGEMENT - A method includes providing a baseline workflow as an electronic representation of an actual workflow, the baseline workflow including baseline tasks, data items, and baseline data scopes, and providing a fragment workflow as an electronic representation of an actual fragment workflow, the fragment workflow including at least one fragment task, and at least one fragment data scope. A baseline data scope is identified as an affected data scope based on a structural change operation, the baseline workflow and the fragment workflow, and the affected data scope is compared to the at least one fragment data scope to identify at least one change operation. The fragment and baseline workflows are integrated based on the structural change operation to provide an integrated workflow, and the at least one data scope change operation is executed to provide at least one integrated data scope in the integrated workflow.02-03-2011
20110246991METHOD AND SYSTEM TO EFFECTUATE RECOVERY FOR DYNAMIC WORKFLOWS - A computer-implemented smart recovery system for dynamic workflows addresses a change to a data object during execution of an instance of a workflow by selectively re-executing workflow tasks that are affected by the change, without cancelling the instance and restarting a new instance of the workflow. A determination of whether a task is to be re-executed during the smart recovery process may include examining a re-evaluation label assigned to the task.10-06-2011

20090165001Timer Patterns For Process Models - The subject matter disclosed herein provides methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for providing timers for tasks of process models. In one aspect, an input representative of a temporal constraint for a task of a graph-process model may be received. The temporal constraint defines at least one of a delay or a deadline. The task may be associated with the temporal constraint created based on the received input. The temporal constraint defined to have a placement at the graph-process model based on the type of temporal constraint. The task and the temporal constraint may be provided to configure the process model. Related systems, apparatus, methods, and/or articles are described.06-25-2009

20120079954DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SETTING AT LEAST TWO CYLINDERS OF A PRINTING MACHINE AGAINST EACH OTHER - A printing machine with at least one inking unit which has at least two cylinders which are set against each other during the printing operation and can be rotated by at least one drive. The printing machine is provided with sensors for recording parameters of the rotary motion of the cylinders such as the torque and speed. A setting mechanism is provided for setting the at least two cylinders against each other in radial direction. The control unit is configured to trigger the setting mechanism to set the at least two cylinders against each other. The at least two cylinders are brought to different circumferential velocities and set against each other. The relative position of the two cylinders is recorded or maintained when at least one parameter of the rotary motion of the at least two cylinders exceeds a threshold value.04-05-2012

20100181302CONTROL METHOD FOR A COOKTOP AND COOKTOP FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD - A method and cooktop include a cooktop panel, a cooking zone, and an induction heating device disposed below the cooktop panel. First, second and third heat sensor units are disposed beneath the cooktop panel in a region of a measuring spot. The first heat sensor unit is configured to measure heat flow from substantially only the cooktop panel. The second and third heat sensor units are configured to measure heat flow from the cooktop panel and a cooking utensil disposed thereon. A light source is provided for measuring an emissivity of the bottom of the cooking utensil. An auxiliary heater heats the region of the measuring spot. An electrical control system calculates a ratio from signals of the second and third heat sensor units and determines an actual temperature of the bottom of the cooking utensil from the ratio by using a temperature of a lower surface of the cooktop panel measured by the first sensor unit and a value of the emissivity of the cooking utensil bottom.07-22-2010
