20110009710COMBINATION LEVEL ALARMS AND ALARM PERSISTENCE FOR PATIENT MONITORING - Combination level alarms and alarm persistence for patient monitoring, as well as related methods and apparatus, are disclosed. For a combination level alarm, respective values for multiple physiological conditions are received. A determination is made as to whether the received values satisfy respective alarm criteria for the physiological conditions, and if so, an alarm is raised. An alarm persistence feature involves periodically receiving values of a physiological condition, and determining whether the received values have satisfied an alarm criterion for at least a predetermined portion of a predetermined period of time. If so, an alarm is maintained. Combination alarms and alarm persistence may be implemented individually or together.01-13-2011

20120042261SUB-COMPONENT INSTANTIATION AND SYNCHRONIZATION USING A SHARED WORKER - The techniques of this disclosure are directed to a shared worker application configured to create one or more instantiations and/or to locally synchronize status of one or more sub-component instantiations for one or more web applications. In one example, a shared worker of a browser facilitates creation of sub-component instantiations, by acquiring software defining the sub-component from a memory of a computing device on which the browser is operating, or via a network, and providing the software local to the computing device for execution to create the instantiation of the sub-component. In another example, a shared worker of a browser as described herein facilitates status updates for multiple sub-component instantiations local to a computing device upon which a browser is operating.02-16-2012

20090086746DIRECT MESSAGING IN DISTRIBUTED MEMORY SYSTEMS - A system and method for sending a cache line of data in a single message is described. An instruction issued by a processor in a multiprocessor system includes an address of a message payload and an address of a destination. Each address is translated to a physical address and sent to a scalability interface associated with the processor and in communication with a system interconnect. Upon translation the payload of the instruction is written to the scalability interface and thereafter communicated to the destination. According to one embodiment, the translation of the payload address is accomplished by the processor while in another embodiment the translation occurs at the scalability interface.04-02-2009
20090089511HYBRID CACHE COHERENCE USING FINE-GRAINED HARDWARE MESSAGE PASSING - Multiprocessor systems conducting operations utilizing global shared memory must ensure that the memory is coherent. A hybrid system that combines hardware memory transactions with that of direct messaging provides memory coherence with minimal overhead requirement or bandwidth demands. Memory access transactions are intercepted and converted to direct messages which are then communicated to a target and/or remote node. Thereafter the message invokes a software handler which implements the cache coherence protocol. The handler uses additional messages to invalidate or fetch data in other caches, as well as to return data to the requesting processor. These additional messages are converted to appropriate hardware transactions by the destination system interface hardware.04-02-2009
