BULK MORTAR SYSTEM - A system and apparatus for preparing bulk quantities of dry colorant or pigment for blending with mortar are described. The system mixes the three primary pigments of black, red and yellow to prepare a batch of the dry colorant having a particular color. The pigments or dry colorant are generally a powder of metal oxide crystals. The system includes pigment dispensers, wherein each pigment dispenser includes a tote that is in flowing communication with a slider valve. The slider valve is in flowing communication with a transition piece, and the transition piece is in flowing communication with a vibratory tray having an exit opening. A receptacle receives pigments from the exit opening of the vibratory trays. A control unit serially operates the vibratory trays to dispense the pigment from each tote. A scale measures the weight of the pigments in the receptacle. The scale is in operational communication with the control unit. | 06-17-2010

Combustion Chamber for Charcoal Stove - A combustion chamber may include an upper and a lower chamber. The chambers may be separable to aid in loading fuel and removing spent fuel. The cross-section of the upper combustion chamber may be less than the cross-section of the lower section. Charcoal or other biomass fuel may be added into the lower combustion chamber and may be supported by a grate. Oxygen may be fed into the combustion chamber through a plurality of apertures that may be substantially shielded from direct line of site of the fuel bed. The upper combustion chamber may further include an annular constriction, to aid in constricting the view factor between the cooking vessel and the fuel bed. The constriction may also aid in radiating energy back to the fuel bed. | 05-19-2011

COOLER/COUNTER MERCHANDISING DISPLAY UNIT - A cooler/counter merchandising display unit combination wherein a merchandising cooler is integrated into various counter arrangements, the cooler being substantially contained within the footprint of the merchandising counter or check-out counter arrangement. In one embodiment, a modular refrigerated cooler is interfaced with a docking base unit which can be positioned, secured or interfaced at the end of a particular service counter, or between two counter portions. In another embodiment, the docking base unit is integrally formed into the merchandising counter and the modular refrigerated cooler is again interfaced with the integrated docking base unit. In still another embodiment, the service counter, docking base unit and refrigerated cooler are all integrated into a one-piece counter arrangement. At least one access door is provided on the cooler to allow consumers to retrieve products therefrom and at least one of the walls forming the cooler compartment includes a transparent window to allow consumers to view the products positioned within the cooler compartment. | 12-17-2009
RETRO-FIT LIGHT STICK DEVICE AND SECONDARY LIGHT SOURCE OR OTHER ELECTRICAL DEVICE FOR USE WITH WALK-IN TYPE COOLERS AND OTHER PRODUCT DISPLAY UNITS - A light stick device and a secondary light source for use in walk-in coolers and other product display devices. The light stick device is configured for replacing existing fluorescent tubes and includes a body portion, an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) extending along a length of the body portion, an array of deflectors located such that at least one deflector is positioned between each LED to deflect light therefrom, and an electrical power connection to power the LEDs. The electrical power connection is adapted for use with existing fluorescent tube fixtures located within the walk-in cooler or other display unit. The present light stick device may also include at least one plug-in socket for powering another electrical device including a secondary light source from the present light stick device. The secondary electrical device may be configured to interface between a standard fluorescent tube and its power fixtures to draw power from such fixtures. | 01-21-2010
MULTI-LEVEL MODULAR LIGHT BAR - A modular light bar having crisscross lighting in the front and rear. Each module may include two horizontal layers of lighting supported on supports connected to a longitudinal base. A wire harness is positioned within a longitudinal channel in the longitudinal base, with the harness having one end connected to quick disconnects within the modules and having another end connected to a controller. Each of the light bar module is serviceable independent of the other light bar modules, such that the support positioned within and connected to the light bar module being serviced is removable from the light bar module without accessing the other light bar modules by disconnecting the quick disconnect positioned within each light bar module being serviced. | 12-30-2010
