20120006560Forming A Model Of A Subsurface Region - A method of forming a geologic model of a subsurface region is disclosed. Data related to the subsurface region is obtained. A framework is constructed to represent the subsurface region. A template is selected from a plurality of templates. The selected template provides at least one property that is characteristic of the subsurface region. The selected template is inserted into the framework, to form the geologic model. The geologic model is then outputted.01-12-2012

20090153339METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BOOSTING AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL IN A NOTIFICATION SYSTEM - The present invention is an apparatus and a concomitant method for boosting the audio signal generated by at least one notification appliance in a supervised emergency voice evacuation system.06-18-2009
20110050448METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING AN ASIC CONTROLLED ALARM UNIT - The present invention is an ASIC-controlled alarm unit. The ASIC circuit performs all the necessary control functions to provide audible and visual signaling when used with external horn and strobe circuits.03-03-2011
20110063848Optically Efficient Notification Device for Use in Life Safety Ceiling Strobe Applications - A ceiling notification device has a housing; a reflector unit mounted to the housing; a lens positioned over the reflector unit; and a lamp in the center of the reflector unit along the central axis. The reflector unit has a base, a plurality of reflective fins, and a surface portion. The base has a curved surface that is symmetrical about a central axis. The plurality of reflective fins each has a first fin portion extending from the base and a second fin portion extending from the base and the first fin portion, the second fin portion having an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the inner surface is exposed to the central axis. The surface portion extends from the base and positioned between the first fin portion and an edge of the base and is angled toward an inner surface of the second fin portion.03-17-2011
20110063852Optically Efficient Notification Device for Use in Life Safety Wall Strobe Applications - A wall notification device described herein can draw a lower current by providing a more efficient reflector configuration. The reflector is designed to be positioned on a wall and provide sufficient light output in each of the requisite directions, as required by the UL 1971 standard. The notification device has a reflector unit having a base having a curved portion centered on the vertical axis and a flat portion extending from the curved portion; a reflective flange extending from a location near a top side of the base; a first and second specular protrusion extending from the curved portion of the base; a third and fourth specular protrusion extending from the base; a fifth and sixth specular protrusion extending from the curved portion of the base; and a sixth and seventh specular protrusion extending form the flat portion of the base.03-17-2011

20080266064APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZING VISUAL/AUDIBLE ALARM UNITS IN AN ALARM SYSTEM - An apparatus and concomitant method of reducing the number of synchronization pulses transmitted to the alarm units for increasing the reliability of the overall alarm system is disclosed. The synchronization signal is implemented as a reference or reset signal from which the alarm units derive a reference time to begin activation of the alarm units. Thus, when an alarm unit receives a reference synchronization pulse, the alarm unit applies the reference synchronization pulse as a reference point in time to trigger a series of flashes or audio tones. A second signal sent in close proximity to the synchronization signal is implemented to trigger a second function of the alarm units, such as a silence function.10-30-2008

20080283524Article of manufacture for a flexible silo - An article of manufacture for a flexible silo with a cone of specified volume has a plurality of attachments fabricated about the upper perimeter in a radial formation in relation to the center of the cone. The radially positioned attachments allow for quickly attaching and removing the flexible silo to and from a support structure free of the need for integral structural members. The storage capacity may be increased by adding a cone shaped top panel or a vertical cylinder. A top panel may also have an inlet spout for connecting to a filling device for dust containment while filling. The flexible silo may be constructed of a wide range of flexible materials that allow the use of the flexible silo in a multitude of applications. The flexible silo may be constructed of materials that are inexpensive for single use or multiple uses and easily disposed.11-20-2008
20090008410Flexible silo apparatus having a top removable valve or flow control device - A flexible silo apparatus having a top removable valve or flow control device assembly has a top removable valve or flow control device that has components to interface with the outlet of a flexible container and that can be supported upon a bridge. Various cone configurations can be added to support the cone section or bottom of a flexible container including a rigid cone, multi member cone, or “y Axis dynamic cone system. The apparatus is further enhanced with a floating bridge and the addition of a powered lifting and lowering device for the advantage of manipulating the flexible container in a vertical motion for improving the filling of product into or the discharging of product out of a flexible container.01-08-2009
20090010573"Y" axis dynamic cone system for use with a flexible silo, bulk bag or flexible container filling or discharge apparatus - A “Y” axis Dynamic Cone System comprises a plurality of radially extending members having a first pivot mount located in the vicinity of a center point and a second pivot located along the length of the member, a member or pivot compensation means, and means to lift and lower the first pivot end. The invention, for use with a bulk flexible container storage apparatus, filling apparatus or discharging apparatus provides cone or bottom support to a bulk flexible container and provides for a range of angular changes to form a concave “V” cone; level surface; or convex cone shape. The invention may be used to improve the filling efficiency of a flexible bulk container and also to improve and enhance the flow of product from a flexible bulk container.01-08-2009
