20080276256 | Method and System for Speeding Up Mutual Exclusion - In a multiprocessor computer system, a lock operation is maintained with a thread using non-atomic instructions. Identifiers are assigned to each thread. Flags in conjunction with the thread identifiers are used to determine the continuity of the lock with a thread. However, in the event continuity of the lock with the thread ceases, a compare-and-swap operation is executed to reset the lock with the same thread or another thread. Similarly, in the event there has been a collision between two or more threads requesting the lock, a compare-and-swap operation is executed to assign the lock to one of the requesting threads. Accordingly, prolonged ownership of a lock operation by a thread is encouraged to mitigate use of atomic operations in granting of the lock to a non-owning thread. | 11-06-2008 |
20090323935 | PSEUDO PUBLIC KEY ENCRYPTION - According to the present invention, a secret key cryptosystem and tamper-proof hardware are used to realize a pseudo-public key cryptosystem at a low cost. A trap-door one-way function is substantially realized with the use of tamper-proof hardware. Each user performs communication using equipment provided with hardware having the same capabilities described below. Such hardware retains association between an ID and a key. In response to a request from a user, the hardware issues and stores an ID, and it can perform decryption and generation of a MAC (message authentication code) with a key associated with the ID. A user publishes his ID. When performing encryption, a message sender encrypts a message using the published ID. A third person can perform decryption with the ID only by analyzing the mechanism in the hardware. However, the hardware has a capability of destroying itself when such an act is attempted. | 12-31-2009 |

20130061734 | ACOUSTIC EFFECT IMPARTMENT APPARATUS, AND PIANO - An acoustic effect impartment apparatus detects striking of any one of strings by a corresponding hammer in an acoustic piano like a grand piano, and vibrates a vibration section with a driving waveform signal obtained by synthesizing sine wave signals of the fundamental frequency and harmonic frequency of the hammer-struck string. Such vibration of the vibration section is transmitted to the keys via a soundboard and bridge of the piano. Thus, vibration is excited in the hammer-struck string by the striking with the hammer but also by the driving waveform signal, so that an acoustic effect corresponding to the driving waveform signal is imparted. Because the driving waveform signal is a simple signal using the sine wave signals corresponding to the fundamental frequency of the string, a natural feeling of the acoustic piano will not be lost even when the acoustic effect is imparted. | 03-14-2013 |

20090241756 | Electronic Keyboard Instrument - Electronic piano includes speakers arranged on its front side region and another speaker provided at a back position of the piano. Waveform memory provided in a tone generator section has prestored therein sets of four-channel waveform data, each of the sets corresponding to a tone. The four-channel waveform data are data recorded from a natural musical instrument via four microphones installed at sampling positions corresponding to the above-mentioned speakers. The microphones are installed with the on-microphone setting in which the microphones are positioned close to sounding members of the natural musical instrument. In response to depression of a key, any one of the sets of four-channel waveform data, corresponding to a tone pitch designated by the key depression, is read out from the waveform memory, so that the four-channel waveform data are supplied in parallel to the individual speakers. | 10-01-2009 |

20110109190 | ROTARY ELECTRICAL MACHINE - When a conventional technology is employed, it is difficult to manufacture a magnet row because magnets are disposed so that N-poles face each other while S-poles face each other. Further, magnetic reluctance is increased because a generated magnetic flux obliquely crosses an air gap in which the magnets are disposed. Furthermore, the conventional technology is at a disadvantage in that magnetic flux interference occurs between neighboring magnetic poles. The present invention has been made to address the above problems and provide a rotary electrical machine capable of generating high torque at low speed. The rotary electrical machine includes a rotor disc and an armature. The rotor disc is configured so that plural rectangular magnets whose longitudinal direction crosses the direction of rotor disc rotation are disposed on the rotor disc, and that the polarities of neighboring magnets differ from each other. The armature is configured so that plural armature cores are disposed to sandwich the magnets, which are mounted on the rotor disc and provided with a particular magnetic pole, and that a winding is commonly wound between the armature cores. | 05-12-2011 |

20090102088 | METHOD FOR MOLDING WASTE PLASTIC AND METHOD FOR THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF PLASTIC - Exemplary embodiments of the present invention can be directed to producing high-density pellets by molding waste plastic and to producing high-strength coke by mixing the pellets with coal and dry-distilling the mixture in a coke oven. As feedstock is used waste plastic that contains polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene, which are plastics that soften at a low temperature, at a total rate of about 50% or greater. The waste plastic is molded using a molding method of extruding it from a nozzle of a screw-type stuffing machine. In the method of this invention, the waste plastic can be heated to about 180˜260° C. in the molding machine and gas in the molding machine is sucked out. By this operation, the polyethylene, polypropylene and/or polystyrene are made molten and the amount of gas in the plastic is reduced. The plastic in this state is compression-molded by extrusion from a nozzle of about 15˜60 mm diameter. The plastic molding obtained can be cut into chunks and cooled with a water cooler within about 3 seconds after cutting. | 04-23-2009 |
