20080312082SOYBEAN EVENT DP-305423-1 AND COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND/OR DETECTION THEREOF - Compositions and methods related to transgenic high oleic acid/ALS inhibitor-tolerant soybean plants are provided. Specifically, the present invention provides soybean plants having a DP-305423-1 event which imparts a high oleic acid phenotype and tolerance to at least one ALS-inhibiting herbicide. The soybean plant harboring the DP-305423-1 event comprises genomic/transgene junctions having at least the polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:8, 9, 14, 15, 20, 21, 83 or 84. The characterization of the genomic insertion site of the DP-305423-1 event provides for an enhanced breeding efficiency and enables the use of molecular markers to track the transgene insert in the breeding populations and progeny thereof. Various methods and compositions for the identification, detection, and use of the soybean DP-305423-1 events are provided.12-18-2008
20080313770Methods and compositions for modulating tocol content - Compositions comprising a modulated tocol content in a plant or plant part are provided. In specific embodiments, the compositions and methods of the invention modulate tocol content by modulating the level of a polypeptide having a LEC1-type B domain in combination with modulating the level of at least one other polypeptide involved in tocol biosynthesis. Plants, plant parts, grain, seed and oil having the modulated tocol level are also provided. Methods to enhance oxidative stress tolerance of a plant or plant part, increase shelf-life, enhance the nutritional value, and improve tissue quality are also provided.12-18-2008
20090092698COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ALTERING ALPHA- AND BETA-TOCOTRIENOL CONTENT USING MULTIPLE TRANSGENES - Preparation and use of isolated nucleic acids useful in altering the oil phenotype of plants are described. Isolated nucleic acids and their encoded polypeptides are described that alter alpha- and beta-tocotrienol content in transformed seeds and oil obtained from the transformed seeds. Expression cassettes, host cells and transformed plants are described that contain the foregoing nucleic acids.04-09-2009
20090293150DGAT GENES FROM YARROWIA LIPOLYTICA COMBINED WITH PLASTIDIC PHOSPHOGLUCOMUTASE DOWN REGULATION FOR INCREASED SEED STORAGE LIPID PRODUCTION AND ALTERED FATTY ACID PROFILES IN OILSEED PLANTS - Transgenic soybean seed having increased total fatty acid content of at least 20% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of non-transgenic, null segregant soybean seed are described. DGAT genes from 11-26-2009
20090293151DGAT GENES FROM OLEAGINOUS ORGANISMS FOR INCREASED SEED STORAGE LIPID PRODUCTION AND ALTERED FATTY ACID PROFILES IN OILSEED PLANTS - Transgenic soybean seed having increased total fatty acid content of at least 10% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of non-transgenic, null segregant soybean seed are described. DGAT genes from oleaginous organisms are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.11-26-2009
20090293152NOVEL DGAT GENES FOR INCREASED SEED STORAGE LIPID PRODUCTION AND ALTERED FATTY ACID PROFILES IN OILSEED PLANTS - Transgenic oilseeds having increased total fatty acid content of at least 10% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of null segregant oilseeds are described. Novel DGAT genes are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.11-26-2009
20110113503Compositions and Methods for Altering Alpha- And Beta- Tocotrienol Content Using Multiple Transgenes - Preparation and use of isolated nucleic acids useful in altering the oil phenotype of plants are described. Isolated nucleic acids and their encoded polypeptides are described that alter the content of alpha-tocotrienol, beta-tocotrienol, or both, in transformed seeds and oil obtained from the transformed seeds. Expression cassettes, host cells and transformed plants are described that contain the foregoing nucleic acids.05-12-2011
20110126318SUCROSE TRANSPORTER GENES FOR INCREASING PLANT SEED LIPIDS - This invention relates to polynucleotide sequences encoding SUT2 or SUT4 sucrose transporter genes. Methods for increasing seed oil content and evaluating increased oil content in a plant seed are described. The compositions and methods disclosed herein employ a variety of sequences that encode sucrose transporters and a variety of sequences that influence fatty acid accumulation, including for example, DGAT, Lec1 and ODP1 transcription factor. In specific embodiments, overexpression of SUT2 and/or SUT4 sucrose transporters in combination with DGAT genes further increase plant seed oil production compared to a high oil plant comprising recombinant DNA constructs that do not overexpress SUT2 or SUT4 transporters.05-26-2011
20110162104Plant Membrane Bound O-Acyl Transferase (MBOAT) Family Protein Sequences And Their Uses For Altering Fatty Acid Compositions - This invention is in the field of biotechnology, in particular, this pertains to polynucleotide sequences encoding membrane bound O-acyltransferase genes and the use of these acyltransferases for altering fatty acid profiles in oilseed plants.
