20090053737Monoclonal Antibody Which Binds Met In Formalin-Fixed and Paraffin-Embedded Tissues and Related Methods - In a wide variety of human solid tumors, an aggressive, metastatic phenotype and poor clinical prognosis are associated with expression of the receptor tyrosine kinase Met. Disclosed herein are (a) a monoclonal antibody named Met4, which antibody is specific for Met, and (b) a hybridoma cell line that produces Met4. The Met4 antibody is particularly useful for detecting Met in formalin-fixed tissue. Methods of using the Met4 antibody for detection, diagnosis, prognosis, and evaluating therapeutic efficacy are provided.02-26-2009

20110043535COLORIZATION OF BITMAPS - A bitmap may be transformed from one color scheme to another. In one example, the bitmap is used as part of a user interface (UI), and the colorization is performed to reflect a user's (or some other entity's) choice of color scheme. To perform the colorization, a bitmap may be converted from the red-green-blue (RGB) color space to the hue-saturation-lightness (HSL) color space. The hue may then be rotated toward the selected color scheme. Lightness and alpha (opacity) may be gamma-adjusted toward the selected color scheme. Saturation may be linearly adjusted upward or downward in the direction of the selected color scheme. The transformed HSL representation of the image may then be converted from the HSL space back to the RGB space. The new RGB bitmap may then be used to render one or more UI elements.02-24-2011

20100077350COMBINING ELEMENTS IN PRESENTATION OF CONTENT - Different aspects of a visual experience (e.g., a particular graphic and a particular color) may be separately selected, and then combined to create a theme. The theme may be applied to content, in order to provide a visual experience that is customized to a user's specifications. For example, a user may have an account with a web site. The web site may provide the user with controls that allow the user to select, separately, graphics and color (or some other aspects of the visual experience). The theme may be created based on the particular combination selected by the user. The created theme may be stored, or otherwise associated with, the user's account, so that the theme may be applied to content when the user visits a web site. Themes based on a combination of user selections may be applied to web content or any other type of content.03-25-2010

20090123340WATER QUALITY MONITORING DEVICE AND METHOD - A monitor device is attached to the water supply line of a consumer where it repeatedly measures a characteristic that correlates to quality of water in the water line. Each of a succession of a water quality values is derived from one or more of the measurements. The process continues at selected intervals to continuously monitor the condition of water in the line. Each new value can be compared to a reference value representing a maximum acceptable level of contaminants. If the water quality value exceeds the reference value, an overvalue signal is produced, indicating an unacceptable level of contaminants in the water. Additionally, the values can be transmitted to a central collection facility where they are correlated with values transmitted by similar devices on the supply lines of other consumers to track the quality of water of a supply system over time.05-14-2009
20090320396POST SLEEVE ASSEMBLY - A post sleeve includes a reinforced concrete body preformed around a liner that defines a cavity extending longitudinally within the body, sized to receive a post. Standoff ribs run lengthwise within the cavity and extend inward from inner walls of the cavity. A post in the cavity is supported laterally by the standoff ribs. Drain channels between the ribs permit water to flow past the post and exit the cavity via a lower aperture. A drain tube is coupled to the lower aperture, and extends downward where it is covered with gravel at the bottom of a post hole. Concrete is poured around the post sleeve in the hole. The cavity is adaptable to receive posts of varying sizes, and at various depths. A collar closes a space between the post and the top of the cavity, permitting air circulation within the cavity while shedding water and substantially preventing insects from entering the cavity.12-31-2009
20100018442FOLDABLE WORKBENCH - A folding workbench includes a rectangular benchtop frame and first and second leg assemblies pivotably coupled to the frame. Each leg assembly includes first and second legs coupled to respective side rails of the frame, the leg assembly rotatable between a folded position, in which the leg assembly lies substantially within the benchtop frame, and an open position in which the leg assembly extends from the benchtop frame at about a 90 degree angle. Each leg assembly includes a shelf bracket extending between the first and second legs, with a notch extending lengthwise in the shelf bracket. With the leg assemblies in their open positions, a shelf assembly extends between and engages the notches of the shelf brackets, preventing rotation of the leg assemblies away from their open positions. Ends of the legs can be shaped to bind against the frame at selected positions, to provide detents to hold the leg assemblies in their folded or open positions.01-28-2010
20100229415POST SLEEVE POSITIONING APPARATUS AND METHOD - A post sleeve installation device includes a standing structure, a structure coupled to the standing structure and configured to support a post sleeve below the standing structure, and a mechanism configured to enable selective translation of the support structure in three axes and rotation around a vertical axis. Locks are provided to lock the post sleeve at a selected position and orientation relative to the standing structure. A beam extending from one installation device to another measures or controls the relative spacing, orientation, and elevation of associated post sleeves, and related data is collected for off-site manufacture of fence panels. Additionally, a repository is provided, to which the data is transmitted for retention, and from which the data can be retrieved for manufacture of replacement fence panels.09-16-2010
20100277290POST SLEEVE ASSEMBLY - A post sleeve provides a substantially permanent base for supporting a post for a fence or sign, and from which one post can be removed and replaced with another post. The sleeve includes a concrete body that is poured on site, using a sleeve core prepositioned in the post hole, and around which wet concrete is poured. After the concrete is cured, the core is removed, leaving a post sleeve cavity configured to receive a post. The core can be rigid, or can include a flexible shell and stiffener. A preformed post sleeve top can be attached to the sleeve core and positioned therewith in the post hole, to become a permanent part of the post sleeve, once the concrete cures. A drain is attached to the core, and remains in the sleeve when the core is removed, and can be a percolation chamber, or passage extending below the sleeve.11-04-2010
