20150371418 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VISUALIZATION OF OPTIMUM OPERATING ENVELOPE - A method includes identifying an envelope associated with a process variable in an industrial process control and automation system. The envelope is defined by an upper limit and a lower limit on the process variable. The method also includes generating a graphical display for presentation to an operator. The graphical display identifies a trend of a value of the process variable over time and the upper and lower limits of the envelope over time. The graphical display could also identify predicted upper and lower limits of the envelope a predicted target value of the process variable over a future time period. The graphical display could further identify when the value of the process variable falls outside the envelope. | 12-24-2015 |

20100000312 | SENSOR AND DEVICE FOR EXAMINING SHEET MATERIAL, AND SENSOR MAINTENANCE METHOD - In bank note processing machines bank notes are conveyed by a transport system and thereby pass through a sensor path. With some sensors the bank notes guided past touch the front side of the sensor housing. Thus, the front sides wear out which may impair the transport of the bank notes. In the case of wear of the sensor fronts, no longer complete sensor components but only individual front elements of the sensor component are replaced. To the side of the sensor housing facing the bank notes there are fixed one or a plurality of front elements which are detachable and thus replaceable with low effort. The front elements do not contact the inner area of the housing and the sensitive measuring elements arranged therein. When the front elements are detached from the housing for maintenance, the measuring elements remain dustproof encapsulated in the housing of the sensor component. The front elements preferably have a comb structure which improves the transport of the bank notes at the transition between the sensor components. | 01-07-2010 |

20110110077 | SPECIAL PURPOSE LED-BASED LINEAR LIGHTING APPARATUS - A linear lighting apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes an elongated element having a substantially U-shaped cross-section and an LED strip placed longitudinally along a bottom of the elongated element. The apparatus further includes a first flange located on both sides of an exterior of the elongated element and a second flange located on both sides of the exterior of the elongated element. The apparatus further includes a gutter located on both sides of an interior of the elongated element and a first optical element comprising an elongated planar element composed of optical material. The apparatus further includes a rim located on a top of both sides of the elongated element and a second optical element comprising an elongated planar element for placement on top of the horizontal surface of the rim. | 05-12-2011 |
20110164419 | CONDUCTIVE END CAPS FOR LED-BASED LINEAR LIGHTING APPARATUS - A conductive end cap for a linear lighting apparatus is disclosed. The first embodiment of the present invention comprises, among other things, an insulating cap for one end of the linear lighting apparatus, the cap including a first orifice extending from the exterior side of the cap to the interior side of the cap and a conducting shaft extending through the first orifice and protruding from the exterior side of the cap, such that the shaft may rotate about its central axis within the first orifice. The conductive end cap also includes a second orifice extending perpendicularly through a portion of the shaft for accepting a conductive line and a static conductive element protruding from the interior side of the cap so as to provide a conductive terminal for a lighting element located within the linear lighting apparatus. | 07-07-2011 |
