20090301070VAPORIZATION DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM, EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A VAPORIZATION DEVICE - A vaporization device for a motor vehicle exhaust system vaporizes an oxidizable liquid and introduces a vapor produced from the oxidizable liquid into an exhaust gas flow of the motor vehicle exhaust system. The vaporization device includes a heating element that is arranged in a housing, and which has the form of a glowing filament. The housing has an inlet for the liquid, at least one vaporization chamber, and an outlet for the vapor. The glowing filament is embedded in a glow tube surrounding the glowing filament. The glowing filament and the glow tube constitute a prefabricated unit which is fastened on a side of the housing by the glow tube being mounted directly to the housing. Furthermore, an exhaust system having a vaporization device, and a method of producing a vaporization device are described.12-10-2009

20110064447OBTAINING PRESSURE OF AN OPERATING ENVIRONMENT OF A BI-DIRECTIONALLY SCANNING ELECTROGRAPHIC DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING CORRECTIONS PER PRESSURE - Methods and apparatus include improving print quality of a bi-directionally scanning electrophotographic (EP) device, such as a laser printer or copy machine, according to ambient pressure in which operated. A moving galvanometer or oscillator reflects a laser beam to create scan lines of a latent image in opposite directions. A damping of the motion occurs per air density implicated by temperature and pressure, where the pressure changes occurring especially from altitude changes. During use, a drive signal, such as a pulse train, moves the galvanometer or oscillator at or near its resonant frequency. Based on a parameter of the drive signal, such as pulse width, the ambient pressure can be made known. In general, a high-pressure environment requires a relatively longer pulse width to resonate the galvanometer or oscillator in comparison to a shorter pulse width for a low-pressure environment. Corrections to print quality stem from the determined ambient pressure.03-17-2011

20090044797RADIANT BAFFLE/COLLECTOR FOR ROOF CONSTRUCTION AND RETROFIT - A baffle system that can be used to provide ventilation to attics and roofs at the time of new roof construction or retrofit and further provides for solar thermal energy control and harvesting systems in conjunction or combination with the baffle systems. According to one embodiment, the baffle vents are made from a resilient material and are designed and configured to be flexed into a deformed shape, positioned between adjacent roof rafters and released whereupon the baffle vents become wedged between adjacent roof rafters. According to another embodiment the baffle vents have side edge portions that are configured to extend over the upper portions of roof rafters and thereby support the baffle vents between adjacent roof rafters. The baffle vents can function as radiant barriers by providing the baffle vents with a reflecting coating(s) or reflective surface(s). The baffle vents can function as radiant collectors by positioning solar thermal collectors in the air flow channels defined by the baffle vents and darkening the lower surface of the roof sheeting plane. Stock baffle vents are configured to provide for insulation dams that can be cut from the ends of the baffle vents.02-19-2009
