20110239097DATA DEDUPLICATION USING CRC-SEED DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN DATA AND STUBS - Various embodiments for differentiating between data and stubs pointing to a parent copy of deduplicated data are provided. Undeduplicated data is stored with a first cyclic redundancy check (CRC) seed. A stub pointing to the parent copy of the deduplicated data is stored with a second CRC seed. Subsequent to reading the deduplicated data, the first CRC seed is associated with the undeduplicated data, and the second CRC seed is associated with the stub. A CRC check is performed using one of the first and second CRC seeds. If the CRC check is positive, an I/O operation is allowed to proceed. If the CRC check is negative, an additional CRC check is performed using another one of the first and second CRC seeds.09-29-2011

20110145633Blocking Write Acces to Memory Modules of a Solid State Drive - Described are embodiments of an invention for blocking write access to memory modules of a solid state drive. The solid state drive includes a controller access module or a memory access module that controls write access to the solid state drive and the memory modules of the solid state drive. Upon determining that a memory module has failed, the failed memory module or the entire solid state memory device is configured to be read only to prevent an errant write of data over critical data. Further, a failed memory module, or solid state device memory having a failed memory module, may be replaced upon failure.06-16-2011
20110282844CLIENT-SERVER MULTIMEDIA ARCHIVING SYSTEM WITH METADATA ENCAPSULATION - A system, method and computer program product for archiving image, audio, and text data with metadata encapsulation in a client-server storage library is described. The server receives and holds the images, audio, or text to be archived in an image, audio or text logical partition which includes a directory of the images, audio, or text. The information is encapsulated in a metadata wrapper and stored in the library as a closed image, audio, or text file along with a closed copy of the directory. The closed image, audio, or text directory is also stored in the client. The images may be encapsulated in MXF, DICOM, Tape Archive (TAR) or GZIP formats. The storage library may have magnetic tapes, magnetic disks or optical disks as storage media.11-17-2011
20110289233SERIAL ATTACHED SCSI AND SERIAL ATA WIDE PORT TUNNELLING THROUGH A FIBRE CHANNEL CONNECTION - Network traffic encoded in a first protocol is transmitted across a first communications link, wherein the first protocol allows a first plurality of simultaneous logical connections. The transmitted network traffic is received at a first interface between the first communications link and a second communications link. The received network traffic is encapsulated within frames at the first interface, wherein the frames are generated in accordance with a second protocol, and wherein the second protocol does not allow any plurality of simultaneous logical connections that are allowed by the first protocol. The frames are transmitted from the first interface to a second interface across the second communications link. The frames are received and then unencapsulated network traffic is generated from the frames at the second interface, wherein the second interface is between the second communications link and a third communications link. The unencapsulated network traffic is routed to a selected logical connection of a second plurality of simultaneous logical connections across the third communications link, wherein transmission across the third communications link is in the first protocol.11-24-2011

20110143803METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GROUP CALL INITIATION - Upon a user's command, a communication device accesses a call list having a plurality identifiers and receives a user's selection of a talkgroup identifier from the call list. The communication device switches to a first channel associated with the selected talkgroup identifier to allow a call on the first channel. When the call ends, the communication device sets a first timer and monitors the first channel for voice activity, and if voice activity is detected, continues the call on the first channel. When the first timer expires and no voice activity is detected, the communication device sets a second timer and scans a home channel for voice activity; and if no voice activity is detected, the communication device continues to monitor the first channel until the second timer expires or voice activity is detected on the home channel, then it automatically switches to the home channel.06-16-2011

20110238726METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISTRIBUTION OF APPLICATIONS TO A PLURALITY OF COMMUNICATION DEVICES FOR AN EXPANDED OPERATING MODE - Applications are provided to communication devices provide flexible operation between default modes of operation and an expanded mode of operation in which both communication devices share capabilities. A purchase order is created for a plurality of communication devices. A determination is made as to whether a collaboration feature is enabled at each device. The collaboration feature being enabled at each device results in additional revenue to the ordering process. If collaboration is enabled at both devices at 09-29-2011

20090159642Process of Brazing/Soldering By Flame of Metallic and Non-Metallic Materials - The invention refers to the flame soldering/brazing procedure of metallic and nonmetallic materials, used in industrial operations without releasing of noxious gases emissions. The soldering/brazing procedure according to the invention is achieved totally eliminating the noxious gases emissions, reducing the energy consumption for the soldering/brazing operation, and improving the quality of the joints by eliminating the influence of the temperature on the joint materials, in the following stages: cleaning and pickling of the joining surfaces with soldering/brazing flux, adapted as type and method to the specification of the materials that make up the joint; preparation and positioning of the joining components according to the joining drawing and ensuring a correct joint gap in relation to the added metal; uniform heating or the joint until the soldering/brazing alloy melted with the help of a burner with HHO oxy-hydrogen gas at a pressure of 0.1รท0.3 MPa; cooling of the joint with air and its protection so that it is not moved or stricken during the cooling and solidification of the soldering/brazing alloy.06-25-2009
20090199465PROCEDURE OF OBTAINING AUTOMOTIVE FUELS AND THE MODIFIED FUELS OBTAINED BY MEANS OF THIS PROCEDURE - The invention refers to a procedure of obtaining automotive modified fuels with the help of this procedure based on treating the fuels resulting from petroleum refining with the HHO mixture. In full compliance with this invention, the procedure comprises treating the fuel with a HHO gaseous mixture coming up as a result of the water electrolysis, in the presence or in the absence of catalytic agents, at temperatures between 20 and 100 Celsius degrees, at pressures between 1 and 20 atmospheres, and as long as 0.2 to 8 hours.08-13-2009
20100132661METHOD OF USING LEAN FUEL-AIR MIXTURES AT ALL OPERATING REGIMES OF A SPARK IGNITION ENGINE - The present invention refers to a method of using lean fuel-air mixtures at all operating regimes of a spark ignition engine, which is provided with an intake port fuel injection system, wherein said method is characterized in that in order to achieve the efficient lean mixture combustion process, an HHO oxy-hydric gas direct injection should be at a minimum pressure of 10 bar, during compression stroke, after intake valve closing, so that the hydrogen/fuel mixture volumetric fractions value is within the range of about 15% to 25%.06-03-2010

20090194556Medicine Container With Single Pill Dispenser - A pill dispensing cap that secures to a conventional pill container. The pill dispensing cap has a lower cap, a pill discharge port, and a spring loaded rotatable and slidable upper cap. Pills are dispensed one at a time, and the remaining pills are isolated from external contamination. A child resistant lock prevents small children and/or mentally handicapped individuals from easily accessing medicine inside the container. The child resistant lock uses a vertically slidable upper cap that is slidably and rotatably attached to the lower cap. A child safety lock uses a key in the upper cap that must be aligned with a slot in the lower cap to allow a pill to be dispensed. When the key and slot are aligned, the upper cap is vertically compressed against the lower cap. As the upper cap moves toward the base cap, a gravity fed pill discharge port is exposed which releases a single pill.08-06-2009
