ISOLATION OF NEURAL STEM CELLS USING GANGLIOSIDES AND OTHER SURFACE MARKERS - During the growth and study of NSCs, a range of molecules present on the surface of multipotent neural stem and progenitor cells (NSCs) were identified. These markers were identified using a number of human and murine neural stem cell lines, including retinal stem cells (RSCs). The NSC-specific markers identified included gene products as well as non-protein molecules and sugar epitopes not directly coded in the genome. Together with surface markers which were determined to be absent from the surface of hNSCs, the molecules described herein provide a means to enrich for neural stem cells, or neural progenitor subpopulations, particularly using combinatorial cell sorting strategies. These same molecules also represent targets for pharmacological manipulation of NSC populations and subpopulations, both in vivo and ex vivo. Furthermore, these molecules provide potential targets for therapeutic manipulation of other neural precursor-related cell types including malignant conditions as well as other diseases originating from, or preferentially affecting, various uncommitted or replication-competent cell types. | 09-04-2008

Partial network statistics for the plurality of data units may be read sequentially in round robin fashion from each of a plurality of memory banks of a memory. The partial networks statistics may be updated based on the plurality of data units. The updated partial network statistics may be written sequentially in round robin fashion to each of the plurality of memory banks. | 03-05-2009 |
Traffic Receiver Using Parallel Capture Engines - There is disclosed a method of capturing packets and packet receivers to capture packets. A timestamp may be attached to each packet received from a network. Each timestamped packet may be routed to a capture engine of a plurality of capture engines. Each of the plurality of capture engines may save at least some packets determined to match one or more of a plurality of predetermined capture criteria. A list of contiguously captured packets in time-stamp order may be prepared. | 10-14-2010
Capturing Packets With Parallel Capture Engines - There is disclosed a method of capturing packets and packet receivers to capture packets. A plurality of packets may be received form a network. A timestamp may be attached to each received packet. The timestamped received packet may be distributed among a plurality of capture engines. Each of the plurality of capture engines may store, in a respective capture memory of a plurality of capture memories, at least some timestamped received packets determined to match one or more of a plurality of predetermined capture criteria. A list in timestamp order of contiguous packets stored in the plurality of capture memories may be prepared. | 09-01-2011

HVAC System for a Work Vehicle - An HVAC system for work vehicle having an operator compartment for an operator is disclosed. The HVAC system includes a pressurizer blower and an air-conditioning system coupled to an electronic circuit. The electronic circuit is configured to reduce the output of the pressurizer blower when the operator selects a high output from the air-conditioning system. The HVAC system is also configured to provide defog operation in both a manual mode and an automatic mode of operation. The HVAC system is configured to reset the defog operation when the vehicle ignition is turned off or turned back on. The HVAC system is also configured not to reset the defog operation when the operator switches rapidly between the automatic mode and the manual mode of operation. | 02-25-2010

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLAME STABILIZATION AND CONTROL - A system and method for providing continuous measurement and control of a combustion device by altering the fuel composition delivered thereto. The system includes devices for sensing combustion characteristics or other device characteristics, and controlling the performance of the combustion device based on the sensed information. Performance control occurs via addition of one or more additives to the fuel to adjust combustion characteristics. Via such sensing and performance control, consistent combustion device performance may be maintained, despite varying fuel characteristics. In one variation, -characteristics of the combustion device in operation, such as flame characteristics, are sensed and used to adjust fuel characteristics via iterative addition of one or more additives. | 02-12-2009
SYSTEM FOR VAPORIZATION OF LIQUID FUELS FOR COMBUSTION AND METHOD OF USE - A gas stream with a reduced oxygen concentration relative to ambient air is used to vaporize a liquid fuel or liquefied higher hydrocarbon gas, or is mixed with a vaporized gas, and the reduced oxygen vaporized fuel gas is fed to a combustion device such as a premixed or diffusion combustor. Preferably, the oxygen content of the gas stream is less than the limiting oxygen index. By mixing the fuel with a gas stream that has an appropriately reduced oxygen content, auto-ignition prior to the desired flame location in the combustor can be avoided. In some embodiments, the reduced oxygen stream is generated from an air separator or taken from the exhaust of the combustion device. | 12-02-2010
