20110134792Method and Apparatus for a Hub in Daisy Chain Configuration - A connector hub comprising a number of cable interfaces is used to allow a number of network devices connected to a network to be connected in a free-form manner, yet still maintain a daisy chain configuration. A cable comprising at least two conductors, wherein the conductors are preferably a twisted pair of copper wire, is used to connect each of the network devices to a cable interface on the connector hub, so that each network device only has a single cable connected to it. The connector hub connects a master or primary network device to the network devices connected by a cable to the cable interfaces of the connector in a daisy chain configuration.06-09-2011
20110162884METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROL OF A NETWORK IN HVAC AND OTHER APPLICATIONS - A system and method for connecting a number of network devices together in a daisy chain configuration is disclosed. A connector device comprising a number of cable interfaces for a cable is used to allow a number of network devices connected to a network to be connected in a free-form manner, yet still maintain a daisy chain configuration. A cable comprising at least two conductors, wherein the conductors are preferably a twisted pair of copper wire, is used to connect the network devices, so that each network device only has a single cable connected to it. Additional network devices can be added to the network by simply connecting the additional network device into the existing network with the use of an additional cable and an additional connector device. Wherever the additional network device is added to the existing network, the network will be maintained in a daisy chain configuration.07-07-2011

20080221512Patient hydration system with taper down feature - A patient hydration system with an infusion subsystem which infuses fluid into a patient and a urine output measurement subsystem for measuring the amount of urine output by the patient. A controller is configured to control the infusion subsystem and is responsive to the urine output measurement subsystem. The controller includes a balancing function which controls the infusion subsystem to administer fluid infused into the patient to balance the urine output with the fluid infusion. The controller also includes a taper down function which controls the infusion subsystem to administer fluid infused into the patient at a rate less than the rate of urine output by the patient.09-11-2008

20090198348Method and Apparatus for Interconnecting Modules - An industrial process control apparatus and method that includes a number of processors and a number of input/output modules. Each processor is connected to a plurality of the input/output modules by a unidirectional command line. Each input/output module is connected to a plurality of the processors by a unidirectional response line. The processors are arranged to issue an identifier request to all of the connected input/output modules and each input/output module is arranged to respond to the identifier request via the respective response line with a response that includes a unique identifier. Such a configuration allows each processor to identify the physical location of each respective input/output module.08-06-2009

20110135685Edible Vaccines Expressed in Soybeans - The present invention relates to vaccines that are made in transgenic soybeans for use in humans, animals of agricultural importance, pets, and wildlife. These vaccines are used as vaccines against viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic or prion related diseases, cancer antigens, toxins, and autologous or self proteins. The transgenic soybeans of the instant invention also can be used for inducing tolerance to allergens or tolerance to autoimmune antigens, wherein an individual shows hypersensitivity to said allergen or has developed autoimmunity to autologous or self proteins, respectively. The invention also relates to prophylactically treating individuals and/or populations prior to showing hypersensitivity to allergens. Other aspects of the invention include using the transgenic soybeans as an oral contraceptive, and the expression of protein adjuvants in transgenic soybeans.06-09-2011
