20120029410 | Apparatus for detecting moisture for an apparatus for monitoring the access to a patient, in particular for monitoring the vascular access during extracorporeal blood treatment - An apparatus is disclosed for detecting moisture, which is intended for the use in an apparatus for monitoring an access to a patient for a device by means of which a fluid is conducted to and/or removed from a patient via a hose line, in particular for monitoring the vascular access during an extracorporeal blood treatment, wherein blood of a patient is removed from the patient via an arterial hose line, which has an arterial puncture cannula, and is conducted back to the patient via a venous hose line, which has a venous puncture cannula. The apparatus for detecting moisture is designed as a pad which is made of a flexible material and is to be applied onto the patient's skin and which comprises an upper side facing away from the patient's skin and a lower side facing the patient's skin. The pad comprises an opening for the passage of fluid, in particular blood, and a moisture sensor having contact elements for the connection of the same. The moisture sensor is capable of detecting blood flowing through the opening to the surface of the pad. The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that the lower side of the pad is impervious to fluid. | 02-02-2012 |

20100280513 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING PLASMA SPARKS TO TISSUE - A pulse delivery system for producing a spark in tissue is disclosed. The system can include at least two electrodes having sharp surface features, where the at least two electrodes are electrically isolated from one another. The sharp features of the electrodes can be separated by a distance of about 2 to 20 mm. The system can also include a pulse generator for delivering pulsed voltage differences between the at least two electrodes. The pulsed voltage differences can producing a voltage difference ranging from about 2.5 kV to about 35 kV for a duration of about 50 ns to 3 μs. The system can include a controller for determining whether the plurality of pulsed voltage differences produced a spark between the at least two electrodes. A method of producing a spark in tissue for both therapeutic and cosmetic, i.e., non-therapeutic, applications is also disclosed. | 11-04-2010 |

20110165871 | INTER-CELL COORDINATION FOR FEEDING RELAY NODES. - It is described a method for distributing network characteristic information within a cellular telecommunication network, which includes a first cell including a first base station and a first relay node and a second cell including a second base station. The method comprises includes carrying out an interference measurement by the first relay node, wherein the interference measurement yields a measurement value being indicative for the inter cell interference between the second base station and the first relay node, and forwarding the measurement value from the first relay node to the second base station. Further, it is described a relay node and a base station, which are adapted, in conjunction with each other, to carry out the described distributing method. Furthermore, computer program for controlling the described distributing method is described. | 07-07-2011 |
