20110157415PHOTOGRAPHIC FLICKER DETECTION AND COMPENSATION - One disclosed embodiment includes detecting flicker in a photographic setting. A plurality of samples are obtained from a light detector circuit of a camera, each of which has a value that is dependent upon intensity of light incident upon the camera. The method further includes processing the samples to identify whether the incident light is varying in intensity at one or more pre-selected frequencies. The processing may include multiplying the samples with one or more periodic signals to generate scalar product outputs, and analyzing the scalar product outputs to ascertain the presence of periodic flicker.06-30-2011
20110187893VIDEO ARTIFACT SUPPRESSION VIA ROLLING FLICKER DETECTION - A method for suppressing banding and rolling flicker in video acquired by a video camera. The method comprises acquiring a plurality of video frames and assessing an amount of rolling flicker in the plurality of video frames. The method further comprises configuring the video camera to quiet banding and rolling flicker responsive to periodic illumination at a first frequency if the amount of rolling flicker is above a threshold, and, configuring the video camera to quiet banding and rolling flicker responsive to periodic illumination at a second frequency if the amount of rolling flicker is below the threshold.08-04-2011

20120163660PROCESSING SYSTEM - A processing system for plate-like objects is provided, with an exposure device and an object carrier with an object carrier surface for receiving the object. The exposure device and the carrier are movable relative to one another, such that the exact position of the object relative to the carrier is determinable. An edge detection device is provided which comprises at least one edge illumination unit having an illumination area, within which an object edge located in the respective object edge area has light directed onto it from the side of the carrier. At least one edge image detection unit is provided on a side of the object located opposite the carrier, the edge image detection unit imaging an edge section of the object edges located in the illumination area as an edge image, such that the respective edge image is detectable in its exact position relative to the carrier.06-28-2012

20100138675Methods and Systems for Managing Power to Multiple Processors - A system for controlling power to multiple processing cores operating in separate domains in an information handling system (IHS) is provided. The system includes a power regulator that is programmable to output voltage depending on a processor domain and a corresponding performance state. In some instances, one processor may be an integrated graphics processing unit, and another processor may be a discrete graphics processing unit.06-03-2010
20110016332System and Method for Powering an Information Handling System Through a Display Cable - A display provides power to an information handling system through a display cable. The display cable includes a power wire and an auxiliary channel. The display and information handling system communicate through the auxiliary channel to coordinate power transfer from the display to the information handling system, such as in the form of a trickle charge to a battery integrated in the information handling system.01-20-2011
20110052142System and Method for Managing Multiple Independent Graphics Sources in an Information Handling System - An information handling system includes a video processor that provides a first video signal in a first video format; a display that receives a second video signal in a second video format; and another display that receives a third video signal in a third video format. The first, second, and third video formats are all different from each other. The information handling system also includes a mid-stream frame buffer that stores video information from the first, second, and third video signals, and a video selector coupled to the mid-stream frame buffer the video processor and the displays. The video selector converts the First video signal into the second and third video signals and couples the video processor to a selected display.03-03-2011
