| 20080285320 | Alternating electric current generating process - This is a process to generate alternating current without an external source for cell-houses in electrowinning or electrorefining of copper or other products in which the electric source consists of a conventional rectifier-transformer group that supplies continuous electrical current to the cell-house, which is connected in parallel to a device characterized by having the capacity to extract an electrical current from the cell-house for a period of time and then return it in another period of time, whether periodically or semiperiodically and without changing the average value of the electrical current, supplied to the cell-house by the rectifier-transformer. This results in a electrical current in the cell-house that is the superimposition of a continuous and alternating current. This process is designed to overcome the barrier of electric potential produced by the presence of the pure continuous electric field in cell-houses through the electric agitation of an ion-rich electrolyte. | 11-20-2008 |

The aforementioned axles are components of a structure supported at the centre and supported peripherally on wheels positioned on a running track or surface. The structure rotates about a fixed central point supporting the vertical axle of the tracker. At least one board is positioned on the horizontal axle of the structure in order to receive the solar modules or panels and said board(s) can rotate about the horizontal axle so that the solar panels are maintained perpendicular to the sun's rays. | 02-04-2010 |

| 20090104200 | MODULATING INFLAMMASOME ACTIVITY AND INFLAMMATION IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM - Compositions and methods for reducing inflammation in the central nervous system (CNS) of a mammal that has been subjected to a stroke, traumatic injury to the CNS such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), or having an autoimmune or CNS disease have been developed. The compositions and methods described herein include antibodies that specifically bind to at least one component (e.g., ASC, NALP1) in a mammalian inflammasome (e.g., the NALP1 inflammasome) and have use as treatments for SCI, TBI, stroke, and autoimmune and CNS diseases in a mammal. In a rodent model of SCI, therapeutic neutralization of ASC using a polyclonal antibody that specifically binds to ASC inhibited the inflammasome, reduced caspase-1 activation, XIAP cleavage, and interleukin processing, resulting in significant tissue sparing and functional improvement. Additionally, in a rodent model of TBI, neutralization of ASC after TBI reduced caspase-1 activation and XIAP cleavage. Further, in a rodent thromboembolic stroke model, neutralization of NLRP1 resulted in reduced histopathological damage in mice and reduced cytokine activation, suggesting that the inflammasome complex forms in the brain after stroke and is a therapeutic target for reducing the detrimental consequences of post-stroke inflammation. | 04-23-2009 |

| 20100084984 | Energy-Saving LED-Based Lighting Device - This invention describes a lighting device with low energy consumption, which is made up of light emitting diodes known by the English acronym of LEDs, that use the technique known as “scanning”; with the purpose of reducing the consumption of energy required for lighting. Said scanning is performed by an efficient circuit that determines the sequence and time required for the activation of each LED or group of LEDs. The invention does not limit itself to only using LEDs, other types of elements for control may be used that may be sequenced without altering its operation or useful life. In this case, the speed that may support the LEDs is taken advantage of and that is higher than can be seen by the human eye, where each LED or group of LEDs are turned on and off at a frequency that is imperceptible by the human eye. | 04-08-2010 |

| 20110161137 | Web based interactive geographic information systems mapping analysis and methods for improving business performance including future scenario modeling - A web based interactive geographic information systems mapping analysis and methods for improving business performance including future scenario modeling are provided. The system uses a radical efficiency model to increase profitability since competitiveness can be improved by the radical efficiency model that allows businesses to reduce money wasted on bad initiatives. The system also gives businesses competitive intelligence on how to find new markets (expanding the pie) and to capitalize on competitors' inefficiencies and weaknesses to capture the competitors' market share (eating the competitor's slice of the pie). The system also shows businesses how to make more money by maximizing their strategic advantages against competitors and by identifying the best places and recommended strategies for business growth. The system also expands the list of potential vendors and customers a business can buy from and sell to. The system also provides advertisement recommendations for the business. | 06-30-2011 |

| 20090007513 | FIRE RESISTANT AND INTUMESCENT LAMINATE, USEFUL AS A VAPOR BARRIER IN WOOD AND STEEL CONSTRUCTIONS - An intumescent laminate vapor barrier is fabricated with a fire-resistant putty. This has the advantage that it slows down the transmission of heat, expands when being exposed to temperature and thereby seals the cracks which could have been formed during the installation. It also protects the structures (framings) from fire and the sheathing made up of gypsum-boards, plywood, Oriented Strand Boards (OSB) or any other type. | 01-08-2009 |

| 20080294728 | Service Discovery for Electronic Messaging Clients - An autodiscovery service for clients in an electronic messaging system is disclosed. Client devices in the system request messaging system configuration settings from an autodiscover server. Clients may derive the address of the autodiscover server from user input, such as an email address, or the address may be obtained by other means. The autodiscover server responds to the request with settings for that client. The settings requested may include addresses of electronic mail servers and other servers that provide client services. The autodiscover server may determine the settings for the client based on various criteria, including client location and user mailbox location. Third party servers may participate in the autodiscovery service, and addresses of third party servers may be included in the settings provided to the client devices. | 11-27-2008 |

| 20090027934 | Electric Transformer-Rectifier - An electric transformer-rectifier is provided such that electrical current is supplied from a three phase alternating current supply. The device includes a tri-phase transformer, where each secondary winding has its terminals available to connect to their respective secondary windings. Power is supplied to a set of three boost converters, which in turn supply power to a set of three banks. In embodiments of the invention a set of three full wave mono-phase rectifiers, connected to the respective secondary wirings, supply power to respective capacitors banks and a three buck converter. Further the device produces continuous current to the load and sinusoidal input current in each winding of the transformer.
