20080237074Surgical instrument debris collection system - The presently disclosed debris collection system includes an elongate body having a first end, a second end, and a bore extending therethrough. The first end of the elongate body is hermetically closed while the second end has an opening. The elongated body is made of an impermeable material. A cap fixed to the elongated body and has a bore extending therethrough. A port, which is attached to the cap, is designed for introducing fluid into the elongated body. A watertight seal, such as a gasket, is attached to the cap. The seal is also made of an impermeable material. In operation, a liquid is introduced into the debris collection system. A surgical tool must then be introduced into the system. Thereafter, a vortex is created within the system to debride debris from the surgical tool.10-02-2008

The apparatus includes an elongated member formed of a biocompatible material, and a rigidifying agent associated with a distal end portion of the elongated member, wherein the rigidifying agent increases the rigidity of the distal end portion such that the distal end portion is mechanically reconfigurable to define a penetrating end integrally formed with the elongated member.10-15-2009
20100010517Anastomosis Sheath And Method Of Use - The invention relates a sheath that is affixed to a body lumen, proximal to an anastomosis site. The sheath includes a sleeve defining a passage. A grasping structure is positioned distally of the distal opening of the sheath to facilitate elongation of the sleeve from a first length to a second longer length. A method for using the sheath is also disclosed.01-14-2010
20100010518Anastomosis Sheath And Method Of Use - A sheath is affixed to a body lumen, proximal to an anastomosis site. The sheath includes a sleeve defining a passage. A first ring-shaped member or balloon, attached to a proximal portion of the sleeve, is positioned proximal to an anastomosis and a second ring-shaped member or balloon, attached to a distal portion of the sleeve, is positioned distal to an anastomosis. The sleeve is further elongated from a first length to a second longer length. A method for using the sheath is also disclosed.01-14-2010
20100010519Anastomosis Sheath And Method Of Use - A sheath having a proximal portion attached proximal to an anastomotic site. The sheath includes at least one biodegradable portion and at least one non-biodegradable portion. The sheath prevents anastomotic leakage of tissue luminal contents into the surrounding cavity. A method for using the sheath is also disclosed.01-14-2010
