20100221977ALL-SEASON INDOOR OUTDOOR COUPLEABLE CONSTRUCTION TOYS - A multiple use, light weight, cost-effective, indoor and all-weather outdoor construction toy for stimulating children's imaginations and encouraging physical activity comprises a basic modular unit with open ended cup-like coupling-means on its perimeter for male to female coupling and decoupling to other couple-able units, is described. The coupling-means may be molded as an integral part forming one seamless basic unit. The open bottom end of the coupling means provides for coupling, the open top end prevents the buildup of snow inside the coupling unit. Coupling can be achieved via coupling-means on basic units to each other or through the use of accessory independent coupler-units. The basic unit of the modular toy may be in the form of a saucer, disc, an oval, or in a rectilinear-shape for use as a sled, skiing device, a flotation device, or as fort building modules. Additional accessory parts include skis and inner-tubes, for example.09-02-2010

20080229232Full screen editing of visual media - Visual media can be edited by displaying a maximum amount of content on screen. To do so, a user can select a full-screen mode, which expands the visual media to fill the entire screen space. In full-screen mode, more of the screen is used to display the visual media as it is edited. In addition, the user can define bump areas in the visual media editing application, where the user can hide user interface controls while in full screen mode. From a user perspective these controls are sitting off screen and then brought into view as needed. The user accesses the user interface controls by bumping his mouse against the bump area, which causes the controls assigned to that region to come into view. In addition to defining bump areas, a user can decide which user interface controls to place at each different bump area.09-18-2008

20090235708HOT FORMING PROCESS FOR METAL ALLOY SHEETS - Magnesium and other metal alloy sheet materials are deformed at hot forming temperatures into vehicle body panels and other articles. Many such hot forming operations are improved in speed and product quality by predetermining a static recrystallization temperature of the sheet material. As the sheet material is being heated to its hot forming temperature, deformation is commenced below the static recrystallization temperature. As heating and deformation are continued, dynamic recrystallization of the workpiece occurs and deformation may proceed faster and to a greater extent.09-24-2009
20100024924RECOVERY HEAT TREATMENT TO IMPROVE FORMABILITY OF MAGNESIUM ALLOYS - The formability of coiled and annealed (O-temper) magnesium alloy sheet material in high temperature forming operations is sometimes adversely affected by small amounts of cold work introduced into the fine grained material during handling of the coil and unwinding it to obtain blank workpieces for hot stamping, hot blow forming, or the like. When necessary, the formability of the sheet material with regions of hard worked microstructure may be improved by predetermining a recovery heat treatment using small portions of the material in formability tests. The recovery heat treatment, determined for the specific coiled stock, may then be applied to the material of the coil as it is used in making vehicle body panels or the like.02-04-2010

20120212677CHANNEL CONTROL TECHNIQUES - Techniques involving the reception of content are disclosed. For example, an apparatus may include a tuning detection module, a channel selection module, and a remote tuning module. The tuning detection module determines a local tuning of a user device. This determination may be made from a leakage signal (e.g., local oscillator (LO) leakage) generated by the user device. Based on the determined local tuning, the channel selection module selects an output channel from a remote digital tuner. The output channel may then be tuned by the remote tuning module for reception by the user device at its local tuning.08-23-2012

20110058719METHOD FOR COMPRESSED SENSING IMAGE RECONSTRUCTION USING A PRIORI KNOWLEDGE OF SPATIAL SUPPORT - A method for image reconstruction that utilizes the benefits of compressed sensing (“CS”) while incorporating a priori knowledge of object spatial support into the image reconstruction is provided. Image data is acquired from a subject, for example, with a medical imaging system, such as a magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”) system or a computed tomography (“CT”) system. An estimate of the spatial support of the subject is produced, for example, using a low resolution image of the subject, or an image reconstructed from undersampled image data in a traditional sense. An estimate image of the subject is also produced by using traditional image reconstruction methods on the acquired image data. An image of the subject is then reconstructed using the produced estimate image and produced spatial support estimate.
